I got big bath bomb set for dd from Lush. I did get twelve day calendar the other year but I didn't really like their other products so I only ordered bath bombs.

I had JL and Fenwick's this year and was happy with both. JL had some great products but the perfumes were a bit of a dud for me. Fenwick's had lots of smaller sizes but a beautiful box, brands I'd never tried and a couple of high value products that I wanted. It wasn't worth full price but was definitely worth it for the discount.

I feel like I need more holidays to use up all the mini shower gels I've ended up with! Thought Sephora and LIB both looked really good and would consider those next year.

It doesn’t say half price when I looked. It’s £45 for a lot of tiny sizes .

That is half price. A BBB review is here I thought it sounded nice for the money but I wouldn't have paid full price.

I’ve really enjoyed all of my calendars and seeing everyone’s excitement over deals in this thread.

I’d definitely repurchase Selfridges and LiB. Although I enjoyed it I wouldn’t get body shop again as it was very repetitive (somewhat expected). After several years of buying H&B I think I’ll take a break from it next year to make sure I fully appreciate it when I do get it again.

I opened BM yesterday as an extra treat and have so far tried and loved all of the makeup. Delighted with the full size retinol. Thanks again @spidersenses for finding it.

After my H ordered CB and it went missing, I was shocked to open it as a gift on Christmas Day. My H and sister had clubbed together to buy it from a woman my sister works with. She apparently bought 3! so won’t miss it. I’ve been very good and hidden it away for next year but I can feel it calling me 😂

The sales have been underwhelming so far, I wonder if we’ll see better reductions once we clear this week of people returning/replacing gifts?

I actually love the Cowshed calendar with the nail file....like a pp said, we have an expensive balm and moisturiser. The box is unbelievably pretty...my daughter has snapped it off me. It was £40 for goodness sake!

I know we all love a bargain but the more we complain about nothing, the less likely we are to get bargains. Don't you see that?

A bargain is inky a bargain if the beholder feels it is one !

The cowshed was a massive disappointment to me and was also a complete pain to return as it weighed a ton and I had to stand in a big queue to return it

I didn't buy the Cowshed as even the version people thought they were getting didn't appeal, but wasn't the contents list wrong, therefore the calendar wasn't as advertised? I don't think that's complaining about nothing tbf.

I agree with @BrokeAsABone and I can't really comprehend it being such a massive disappointment to anyone - £40 for 25 days worth of gifts, so that means each day should have at least the value of £1.60...? Cowshed products are (in my experience) actually really nice and good quality so I think it would have easily matched that? Yes the contents list was wrong but it included an equal number of premium items overall.

What happens if you gain a pound? Will you have to put something back? 😱😂

Ah @MyOtherCarIsAHearse, I didn't get the premium one last time as I just wanted to try out the brand. Perhaps that one is better value. I'm still a little put off by the repeated presence of the mini candles though!

Oh yes @Peridot1, I'd forgotten about the body sprays! I think that there were about 4 sprays (which I didn't use), 4 mini candles, and a shower mitt thing - so that was basically 9 doors wasted as far as I was concerned. The other products were ok, but small sizes for body products. Didn't get many uses out if them.

Ah no. But I am not getting treats for losing the same pound either, I will have to go back on it and get in with it again. :)

My replacement Cowshed serum hasn't arrived and no indication one has been shipped since the email saying there would be. I haven't touched the calendar yet. If nothing arrives by the end of this week or there's no indication something is on its way, I'll be returning it first thing next week.

@amonsteronthehill I had an email on Saturday to confirm they were sending the serum to me. I've had another email this morning to confirm it's been dispatched.

Thanks @Peridot1 I’m thrilled with it. It sounded like she had 3 CB and a few others with zero intention of selling them, just to keep as stock I think.
