Not bought any this year 😇 but still reading everyday!! Living vicariously through you ladies 😊

That was my plan @LoveLabradors. I ended up succumbing to the JL one. Which I am excited about. Am definitely not buying another though.

I am really enjoying these threads. I don’t know anyone in RL who is into them so it’s nice to have company!

wheresmyshoe · 26/11/2022 09:33

Secret Sales has a few different advent calendars (and beauty boxes).

Thank you for the new thread @Zeeza

gianfrancogorgonzola · 26/11/2022 09:38

Wow I’m surprised Liberty sold out.

finding the TikTok sales a bit weird but that’s probably my age #genx

Housewife2010 · 26/11/2022 09:44

My top tip for non teens when going on tiktok to look at the shop. Turn the volume OFF first! 😉

Couperi · 26/11/2022 09:59

LaBrujaPiruja · 26/11/2022 08:21

Has Flannels sold out?

It's disappeared from their website so I think so. Wish they'd just put sold out rather than removing items!

TreesinthePark · 26/11/2022 10:25

@Zeeza thanks for the new thread

@Housewife2010 the box looks amazing and I think it's well worth the original £75!

I'm not buying anything else until after Christmas now once presents and nights out are paid for but hoping to pick up a pre new year's treat. In the days before advent calendars I used to get myself perfume and beauty gift sets at great prices after Christmas.

Pinenu · 26/11/2022 10:47

I caved and got LiB for £99.50 on TikTok. I feel justified because I regularly buy 3 items that are in it and that comes to around £75.

It’s my first time buying from TikTok, I made sure it was from the actual LiB store but I’ll let you all know if/when it/what is delivered.

FYI I emailed CB about the TikTok store and they said they’ll only accept returns purchased from their website.

Maryqueenofscotland · 26/11/2022 10:48

Just purchased the LiB Style AC for £99.50 from their TicTok shop (switched off the sound as recommended). Had to install the app specially to purchase after reading this thread. Will now delete it! I kept getting a variety of prices but after going back several times 🙈 it finally went down to £99.50 so I went ahead. My last purchase....

Zoetrope1 · 26/11/2022 11:03

Lucky! I’ve still had no luck getting the LiB at the lower price, probably a good thing 😊

Interesting that Liberty sold out when others haven’t. Possibly didn’t stock as many as some others? Still hoping their fragrance calendar gets discounted as some point.

Thanks @Zeeza for the new thread.

I bought Liberty in the first week because of the 20% topcashback offer, so £40 off. Other than that, I think they've managed to hold firm on the price unlike most of the others. Imagine they won't make as many next year, as they have never not sold out much earlier in the AC season...

MidnightMeltdown · 26/11/2022 11:22

NavyNailPolish · 26/11/2022 07:26

Just seen that Liberty’s has sold out, at least that’s one less for me to covet!! Hoping for a bigger discount on Harrods…

Wow, Liberty did a good job of standing firm and shifting them all without heavy discounting in this climate. It was a good calendar this year though.

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 26/11/2022 11:28

I resolved to stay off the new thread having already bought 2 calendars and some woolly socks, and yet here I am....

FredaFox · 26/11/2022 11:34

As day 1 is nearing, what opening threads will we have?
I've always enjoyed M&S, my mum has it this year so I I'll be following
My calendars are Selfridges and flannels so guessing they might fall under the general opening thread?

Resistance is futile 😂🤣

Zoetrope1 · 26/11/2022 11:55

I went a little overboard with the sales and have Space NK, CB and now LiB

Would love to see a Liberty thread if enough people have that? I bought it for my mum

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 26/11/2022 12:01

Thanks for the new thread. Still following even though I'm telling myself I absolutely don't want or need any more.

KimmySchmitt · 26/11/2022 12:07

@FredaFox I haven't seen many people getting Selfridges (although definitely some) but lots have Flannels after their massive price reduction so there will likely be a separate thread for it. Ditto LiB, Liberty, M&S, JLP, CB and Space NK. Any I've missed..? Not sure how many have Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

formulatingAresponse · 26/11/2022 12:32

I'll be following but didn't buy myself one this year even though my finger was itching to buy one.

I bought teen DD a basic Sephora one though.

I have enough products to get me through till next years advent calendar so I'll be looking very carefully to see who's got quality items that I really want.

PanicAtTheBigTesco · 26/11/2022 12:37

For anyone who's ordered off TikTok and is now worrying I've ordered quite a few things in the past and the only issue I've had is that the orders sometimes get cancelled and as a PP said delivery can take a while.

Also tiktok isn't just for teens so I don't think brand are using it as a way to widen their target audience, they just know there's a lot of none teens on there who will be interested in beauty products.

Adventadventures · 26/11/2022 13:04

That’s a relief @PanicAtTheBigTesco . TikTok finally let me buy the LIB advent calendar at £99 earlier this morning . This is one I will be stashing away and using as a reserve for when I run out of stuff as I own and use quite a few of the items from the range in there. But that is me finished and a no spend 2023 beckons (until next years advent season!)

That's good to know @PanicAtTheBigTesco

Thread 4 🙌... getting excited about actually starting to open NEXT WEEK. And slightly concerned at it being December when it was basically June last week

Yes I'm thinking about putting LiB away until next year. I will have forgotten what in it my then. I already have far too many products! 🙈

I will definitely be on a no spend for the first half of next year (although I said that last year, and then along can the JL beauty event...)

MidnightMeltdown · 26/11/2022 13:42

They do seem to be selling out now.

I think that Holland & Barrett, Liberty, Flannels, John Lewis and possibly Sephora(?) are all out of stock.

Space NK and LiB will probably be next with current discounts

F&M seem to be the only ones stubbornly refusing to reduce! I think they only make around 1000 calendars a year though.

Twinsandsome · 26/11/2022 14:04

Would anyone be able to help
me out I know it’s not AC related but reckon if anyone knows you lot may. A couple of years ago I bought mother dirt AO mist and it was fantastic I had seen it recommended by Caroline herrons.. my eyes have gone very dry and sore on the eye lids and round the sides and I really think that AO mist would help it but I cannot find it anywhere. Would anyone know where I could buy it and if not recommend something equally as good? Xx
