I've ordered it too. The lip balm and serum are full size. The serum is worth £38 so almost the price of the calendar. There are lots of other lovely gifts in the cowshed sale - if you spend an extra £10. you get free postage.

amonsteronthehill · 14/12/2022 20:41

I've had some of their products before; they're lovely. Couldn't justify a full price calendar, but could definitely justify this (as I plot on how to sneak it into the house). Really looking forward to it.

diamondsandrose · 14/12/2022 21:09

Thanks for the tip , cowshed Jadvent it is ! And it's perfect as it's wintry not Christmassy and it's spa themed , good for a pamper and restore in January

shinny · 14/12/2022 21:11

Cowshed products look to be all mini size - is that right?

I was looking at the refillable set which looks good as I have a few spare boxes from last couple of years but it’s £100 down to £50 so not as good value at the actual calendar which is mad.

diamondsandrose · 14/12/2022 21:18

@shinny I know!! I saw that too

notanicepersonapparently · 14/12/2022 21:43

I’ve succumbed 🫢It was the thought of the full sized serum that did it.

MyOtherCarIsAHearse · 14/12/2022 21:45

I've never used Cowshed. The packaging has always put me off as it reminds me of random brand bath products you can get in department stories. Can anyone enlighten me?

SoloCat · 15/12/2022 11:34

I’ve also succumbed to Cowshed, not that I need it! Good for gifting though! 😬 It’s so lethal this thread!

SwordBilledHummingbird · 15/12/2022 12:36

I've ordered the Cowshed calendar too. I was eyeing it up at half price £70 but was put off by the fact that one of the drawers contains a nail file. I don't find nail files exciting or remotely luxurious and it felt a bit cheap of them. I care a lot less at £40 though and I'm really looking forward to trying the products.

Pinenu · 15/12/2022 13:15

I’m still battling with CB over the lack of calendar. By battling I mean sending emails and receiving an automated response. I’ve now posted about it on social media and left a trust pilot review so hopefully they’ll get on with sorting it.

SoloCat · 15/12/2022 16:41

That’s awful @Pinenu , truly hope it gets sorted. Was this the TikTok one? Not sure how these stores work, but surely if it’s affiliated then they should be doing something! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Pinenu · 15/12/2022 18:08

Thank you @SoloCat Yes it was bought via their TikTok shop by my H, which is adding to my annoyance because I feel guilty him spending a lot on something that might never arrive.

Very disappointed in their customer service and looking at the trust pilot reviews, I’m certainly not the only one.

Is it possible for you to do a claim via your card issuer? It’s quite bad that they are allowing themselves to be associated with an outlet that acts this way…if it was my business I’d be furious how this would reflect on me.
I know it feels worse when it’s bought as a present…an extra layer of guilt and stress that’s heaped on you!

Gosh…that sounds so pessimistic 😳 I promise I’m not the grinch 😬
Hope it’s sorted out soon for you.

Peridot1 · 15/12/2022 22:17

That’s really bad @Pinenu. Hope it gets sorted.

Pinenu · 16/12/2022 11:19

Thank you both. @SoloCat 😂 not pessimistic at all, I appreciate your pragmatism. If they haven’t responded to me by the middle of next week I’ll get H to try doing a reverse charge.

InfinityOrUndefined · 16/12/2022 14:01

F&M still available in full price. This was my favourite calendar this year but they haven't reduced it so I haven't bought it.

notanicepersonapparently · 16/12/2022 14:54

I stalked the F&M calendar last year and it didn’t ever appear to be reduced on their website even in the post Xmas sales. It just disappeared. I wonder whether they just sell off any remaining ones in store? I don’t live near enough to check unfortunately.

Talisin · 16/12/2022 18:07

Haha - I just noticed that Next have unearthed more of last years calendar and are selling it for £1 less than this years!

InfinityOrUndefined · 16/12/2022 18:39

H&B seems to be on sale again at £35

That's so interesting @Pinenu and I wonder how much the advent calendars went for. I thinkbrands sell at auction (and via sites like Brandalley) to avoid undermining their own brand and lowering the prices their customers are willing to pay for their stuff. They must have produced tons more than they could sell. Probably a combination of the cost of living crisis and the improvement in cheaper skincare options (like the ordinary and the inkey list) would be my guess.

Ooh now this sounds like an auction I'd enjoy!

amonsteronthehill · 17/12/2022 15:35

Wow! Where was this?

Pinenu · 17/12/2022 15:56

That’s a good point @Catslovepies Although I’m not sure how much stock they’ll shift at these auctions but then I am picturing everyone there looking like my BIL. He goes to them for building materials.

@amonsteronthehill He’s Essex based so I’m guessing around there but I will find out the name of the auction place and share.

Perhaps we’ll all bump into each other at the next one 😂
