😂 @EmmatheStageRat i don’t think anyone on here can judge your daughter’s lack of willpower.

My TikTok LiB has just arrived and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m going to struggle to save it until jadvent.

Adventadventures · 01/12/2022 12:13

@Pinenu Mine is out for delivery . I am praying it arrives before DH gets home so I can stash it away! This is going to be my stockpile advent I have already earmarked a few items for gifts/stocking fillers but the rest will stay in their boxes until I need them.

Pinenu · 01/12/2022 12:23

@Adventadventures it’s an inconspicuous box so just pretend it’s a gift for him and dart upstairs with it 😄

I admire your resolve to give away or save some items. It’s a very pretty stockpiler for sure.

Not beauty related at all, but I’ve just been tidying and while dusting around six-year-old DD2’s chocolate advent calendar, I thought it felt rather light, even for a pathetic Cadbury’s £2 job. She’s only gone and eaten every single chocolate, before December 1st! Although it could actually be DD1 (15) who has absolutely no self control around anything to do with sugar. The thumbscrews will be brought out after school and the truth will emerge! 😅

I owned the first 5 days of my JL advent this morning, Kept going until I found something I didn't already have. 🙃

cosmiccosmos · 01/12/2022 12:33

Thank you mumsnetters, I purchased 2 of the bare minerals calendars at £23. I think they made a mistake, they have 24% off 24 products. 24% of 99 is £23.76. Someone is in trouble ......

InfinityOrUndefined · 01/12/2022 12:37

My selfridges arrived and today's item is something I won't use :(. I need to gift it.

InfinityOrUndefined · 01/12/2022 12:40

Harrods now £175.

Zeeza · 01/12/2022 12:41

Thrilled I got a £23 calendar for DD before they realised! It can be a Christmas present and she can do the 12 days.

So yesterday I was reading about all your many multiple calendars and feeling quite proud of myself for not losing my willpower. And then this morning… DH is away for work and had left things with the kids, so I now have:

1 JL
1 Anthropologie, which he bought me for my birthday but hid, and I’d pretty much forgotten about
1 Neuhaus bought for me by a friend as a thank you
1 M&S whip as a surprise
1 jigsaw puzzle as a surprise

A colleague has suggested I might want to put a five min hold in my work calendar every day just to get through them!

CorporateBull · 01/12/2022 12:47

Also I have opened none of them as I haven’t had the time. Bar the whip one as I had one with coffee - much needed.

QueefofSheena · 01/12/2022 12:49

mac have cancelled my BF set, apparently they are out of stock. Hopefully the Bare Minerals order doesn’t go the same way.

Wow! Thank goodness for @spidersenses and her spider senses.

MidnightMeltdown · 01/12/2022 13:24

Oooh, I wonder whether bare minerals orders get cancelled. I ordered one, but think that they definitely made a mistake!

InfinityOrUndefined · 01/12/2022 12:40

Harrods now £175.

Thank you. I have ordered it.

Sent my faulty one back and am still waiting for a refund! Cost me about £16 to post it too!

I got the summer beauty edit box with my Lib calendar. really thrilled, didn’t want too much makeup and I’ll use everything in it (they are sending a replacement perfume as it leaked). lots of full sizes!

It’s not on their website anymore but here’s a content rundown for those who are waiting on it

Did your box come separately to your calendar? My calendar has just been delivered but no box yet. Have to wait until I finish work to open today's door. Feels heavy though!

Oh @EmmatheStageRat that’s really made me laugh! My mum once bought me an advent calendar to count down to December as I was too excited Blush

Gutted I missed out on that!

gianfrancogorgonzola · 01/12/2022 16:59

I’m so glad I went for LiB, the box is such good value to be included with the calendar. Have already tried out one of the serums, eyebrow pencil and lip colour - all lovely.

@Dailymash , the way we’re going on here, we will all be opening calendars every month, not just in December! I like your mum’s style.

ps: it was DD2 (6) who opened the calendar and ate every single chocolate. I didn’t have to resort to thumbscrews to torture out the truth 😅. DD2 is a terrible liar but I am actually a bit shocked as she is normally so good and she definitely has age appropriate levels of impulse control!

Lurkingshark · 01/12/2022 17:31

I got the summer box too! Glad I didn’t succumb to the other Black Friday stuff. It’s a great one and I needed a new sunscreen. DH definitely thinks I’m insane as it came with two other Christmas present deliveries of make up gifts…

InfinityOrUndefined · 01/12/2022 17:32

CB has disappeared from TikTok. Now you can only buy battered calendars. They should sell them cheaper than £175 like 50% off or even better.
