I just got the Caite Black Friday box, it looks fun and not a massive investment. I like different edits as it shakes me out of a rut and don’t like face creams that are too potent. Very excited to see what is inside, hopefully worth it!

I have CB and JL. Liberty for DH (a few things will be nicked). Really tempted by Flannels. Have nearly checked out thrice. Resisting. Do I need therapy?

Harvey Nichols calendar seems to have disappeared from their website. Their Black Friday sales have started but no calendar in sight.

This has to be one of my favourite threads ever. You all get the addiction, and the horror, and the excitement. It’s lovely.

I was really pleasantly surprised this morning to receive a package from Harrods with the conditioner that was missing from the advent calendar. I assume that they are sending this out to everyone who bought the calendar online. This was in addition to the £20 refund they gave me when I phoned last week.

I agree. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who is obsessed and can share this experience with you all!
I don't have any friends or family who share my passion, my sister doesn't get why I wouldn't just use Simple skincare products lol

I love this thread too…I have one friend who I share the love of beauty products with, most people don’t get it and would be horrified of the amount I spend.

I love it too. All the enabling, sorry support gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. 😌 Now if only the was the equivalent for dressmaking fabric. I’ve spent over £100 on that in the last 24 hours alone due to enticing sale reductions.

I love this thread even though I’m not particularly into beauty products but I got into the odd Birchbox/glossybox as a present to myself in lockdown… I’ve been following this thread for a couple of years and this year bought H&B after it reduced in price and Degusta as a snack advent was too exciting to miss….

Now I’m wondering if I’ll get a third if there are great Black Friday deals! I went as far as listing out the contents of at least 10 calendars this year to compare how much stuff I’d use vs not use so think I’m in this lovely place annually forever more now!!

Another addict here with no-one irl who shares my obsession for beauty products. My husband looks on indulgently, but my wider family and friends would be horrified by how much I have and how much I spend…thank goodness for these threads.

I started on the beauty advents years ago when I was pregnant as a little treat to myself. I now can’t imagine December without one!

The trouble is I don’t know how to use half the products or what they are. Could we have a thread on which products people are enjoying and how best to use them? Most have no instructions.

@RosettaStormer Come December there will be opening threads for the individual calendars (and probably this thread will continue as general chat), they're usually quite good for getting other opinions on the products and tips on how to use them.

Not long to go now! Just over a week until we can start opening and discussing contents.

Reporting back in to say that I am absolutely delighted with my Lakeland Dreamland Hygge Days luxury heated blanket (fallow deer print). It arrived earlier today and I’m enjoying the benefits now. My six-year-old tried it and described it as ‘living in a warm cloud.’ She is not wrong. No heating on yet here in Yorkshire…
