I'm going to look at my shortlist first to make sure I really want this AC.

I've ordered it as I'll use most of the stuff in it or at least try it ... not exciting stuff, but good value for me personally. Loved the tin last year, and the drawers look pretty this year.

I'm holding out for a better offer on the LiB. I already bought the freebie box. The spf is too orange for me, I don't like the perfume, I don't like the body shop serum etc etc.

I'm holding out on LiB too. It's great that it's mostly full sizes, but I watched an unboxing and the products just don't excite me.

Does anyone know will the Macmillian calendar go back down to half price again? I have a friend who will be driving home from the UK for a wedding in a few weeks who could get it for me as a jadvent but it's definitely not worth full price.

Surely it must???? Who would pay over the odds for it? This is not the year that people don't have choice. There is also likely to be a showstopper at about 80 which was good last year.

It was reduced a few weeks ago but has gone back up again, which is a bit odd.

They might have to do it because there are regulations about things being "on sale" longer than they were at the original price. Its clear that all the star gifts are designed to sell at the half price point, but they have to play the game.

So I really think it will be reduced again.

I sometimes wonder if eyeko actually make any sales or if they only make things for beauty boxes and advent calendars given the frequency they're in them.

The codes on that site bring Glossybox down to £69. That’s really early for £30 off, I wonder if it will get reduced further. I’m still not tempted at £69.

Hi again all, So I bought the Fortnum and Mason calendar one a few weeks ago and I have been back and forth on what to get teen dd as I've promised her an advent calendar too. I now have the recent JL beauty box and an empty wooden advent calendar, so now I'm thinking I'll make up my own beauty/makeup calendar for dd but I need a few more items.

Can you tell me what your favourite things have been from past advent calendars? Particularly those that might suit a teen girl who loves makeup, nail varnish and anything that smells nice? So basically anything that's not specifically anti-aging! All advice appreciated..

I have taken the plunge and decided to skip the M & S calendar this year but I've bought the Next one. It had the best range of stuff I thought I would actually use, no duff things like black eyeliner, and the Mac lipstick is a shade I like the look of, not the obvious bright red.

I might be tempted by a Jadvent one though if they keep being discounted like this. I agree with @Colderthanawitchestit that I'm not yet convinced by the Glossybox one. Let's see what other reductions come up.

Thanks to those who posted the JL winter radiance deal. I was on the fence about JL until that offer came up, they both Arrived yesterday and I’m so impressed!
I already have the Liberty one so really need to resist anymore now!
