Is the Boots website basically unusable for anyone else?

Everytime I search for something, it makes me sign in... then it tells me I'm signed in elsewhere... then when I try to pay, I have to keep signing in again and again!

Is it just me?

Do you use it on a laptop? I can't get it to work really on my phone its so much hassle.

I can't make it work on my laptop or desktop but it's ok on the website on my phone - it's really bloody annoying

Went in last week for boots £15.00 fake tan and there was a dummy bottle on the shelf AND I had to wait 5 mins for someone to go to the stock room for real product.

I get my specialist nhs prescription from Alcura which is owned by boots and they are shit too.

@loosebutton I use it on my laptop as I rarely use my phone for online shopping.
Can't be bothered tapping things in at a snail's pace on a phone when I can whizz through it on my laptop.

It's like being in the actual store given that i can't ever find anything and all the signage is appalling. The checkouts also use two different forms of words for 'put your stuff here and your basket here' which gives me a headache.

I've experienced the same problems. If you open an Incognito window on your browser it should work more easily. You do that by clicking on the 3 vertical dots on the top right of Google - it comes up on the drop down menu as New Incognito Window. This works for me with any sites that are slow.

It’s always been bad. It’s speciality is kicking me out and putting me in a queue and then finally loading the page I want. Try booking a flu jab and that’s a whole new way to drive me up the wall.

I tried to order again after this thread. No joy, can’t access my basket. Have cleared cookies, tried a different browser etc. Contacted boots, they said I can call to place an order. Not doing this, I like to browse.

I have tried and failed many times to order from them, I thought it was just me, although the last order I did managed to get to complete, when it arrived it was wrong, I ordered 3 of the same product on. a 3 for 2 yet they sent two and a random bottle of baby bath stuff, when I contacted customer services they told me to keep baby bath stuff and they would send a replacement item, but they sent 3, I have since tried to do an online order and it just won't go through.

It's the worst website i know. I only use it if they're running a significant sale on an item i really, really, really want. And even then I'll have the site running on another device whilst i work from my laptop so as not to waste time and become irritated while it toddles alone at a snail's pace.

My favourite was they introduced a two step log in to make it safer.

Got a text saying here's your code you need to log into the site.

Oh no it's alright didn't need it anyway. It logged in without it.

Well that's reassured me about the website security...

Everytime I use PayPal it crashes. Its so slow. I give up more than I actually complete a purchase on it which I guess is good for cutting down spending.

And then when you finally manage to place an order, it takes 3 weeks for it to arrive!

Ah no that's about the only good thing it has going for it it's usually really quick for me! Has it gone slow again?

It's fucking useless. I've got a basket full and it won't let me check out and pay because it doesn't like my phone number.
FFS. It has my account number, my advantage card number, my address and previous orders. But it's suddenly decided it doesn't like my phone number.
Tried to go through checkout without signing in but it wants a fucking phone number.

They have NEVER phoned me. Why do they need that?!

Well the whole bloody site looks like it runs on dial up so it's probably part of that! (They've never rung me either!)

Me too, totally crap these days

I thought there was something wrong with my computer or something. It was awful. Things appear and disappear, you get signed in and out with no rhyme or reason. Your basket keeps emptying. Pages refuse to load.

It hurts to use it.

Everything that I used to buy from Boots I now get from Amazon. Cheaper with vastly superior delivery.

Yes, and after a few attempts everything you thought you had removed magically reappears in your basket and you realise you are trying to pay for 8 boxes of L'Oreal Ash Blond and 18 packets of Menopace worth £358.
