What rubbish. It is inclusive you can be whoever you want to be wear what you want no matter your taste style or size don't you geddit?

You can only be yourself.

LeftFootForward · 13/05/2022 11:37

I've never heard of Snag Tights, but if that's their target audience (a man dressed as a little girl surrounded by children's toys) then it's just a bit too paedo-esque for my tastes and I'll pass.

CousinKrispy · 13/05/2022 11:37

I tried Snag but I found their mustard colour disappointing and wasn't totally blown away by the fit. So far I'm preferring Better Tights.

I’ve never heard of snag tights, I don’t understand this thread. What’s creepy, sorry I’m missing something because I don’t know anything about them.

Well that's a totally useless contribution to the thread.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/05/2022 11:38

Snag is all over FB and Instagram, you don't have to google anything for it to be in your face every time you scroll through. As I said, I blocked them.

Dinosauria · 13/05/2022 11:38

Squealier

I know our didn't mean it like that but that term is best not used even in parody.

Are you a woman or a mother? Can you think of any reason other than transphobia that could cause women or parents to mistrust a company that normalises grown men fetishising the clothes and toys of very young girls?

Think around the subject a bit before making assumptions.

Pixiedust1234 · 13/05/2022 11:39

@SaskiaRembrandt - if I've found the right link it will make you cry.
www.yellowstonepark.com/things-to-do/wildlife/wolf-reintroduction-changes-ecosystem/

Why is everything so sexulised nowadays? If they want men and women to feel comfortable wearing their tights then this is not the right way. The older style catalogues had the right idea, pictures of how you would look normally wearing it on the street, not behind closed doors. If I saw this person (male or female) I would think its Halloween.

I'm still trying to figure out if that website is doll skill or dolls kill. One is a niche hobbytype, the other is pure nightmarish horror, ie chuck. Cant see any normal average (again male or female) person wanting to go to either. What a strange person to mention it.

People can't see what's right in front of their eyes.

Without adults with an interest in kids toys... kids would have no toys. I can guarantee you, children do not design, create, make, kids toys. Adults do.

So a bit less of the 'adults who are interested in kids toys = PAEDO' please. Just because on some ridiculous and revolting website somewhere someones put up some drawings of Majesty in a gimp suit, does not mean all adult MLP fans are paedos. I am sure somewhere a paedo likes a cup of tea, can I now say that cups of tea are linked to paedophilia? Fucking ridiculous.

Snags advertising is 'out there', to stop you scrolling and make you look. I don't find a lot of it attractive but it certainly has made me look and remember their name and I have some of their clothing, some of which is good, some of which is less good.

Don't like it - keep scrolling!

TheOrigRights · 13/05/2022 11:40

Until now I thought Snag tights were marketed towards larger women - nearly all their models are overweight. I don't know why that would be a different market though. If it's chub rub, falling down gussets and baggy knees then I don't think that's a problem only larger women have.

Now I am not at all what's they're on about!

I've just looked at their website and they do sell smaller sizes. I wonder why they have NO slim models.

TalkingCat · 13/05/2022 11:41

I must be missing something (though the picture is small and a bit blurry to me), I don't see what the issue is. Also are they leggings, or tights (stockings/pantyhose)? Because they look like leggings to me not tights.

TalkingCat · 13/05/2022 11:42

And the picture isn't clear/close enough for me to see any ladders/snags.

JaneJeffer · 13/05/2022 11:42

Do you apply this to everything?

It's a mature man dressed as a small child. Don't you find that a bit odd?

RitaFaircloughsWig · 13/05/2022 11:43

Like yourself @WowStarsWow I have seen some pretty lurid ads by Snag popping up on things like FB but they (to my knowledge) avoid putting these on their website which confirms they know they are pushing the boundaries with some of it.

Money.

If you are on 50k++ and all the aims and legal protections you were employed to achieve have been achieved then your job goes away.

Your work product is no longer needed, and your market place no longer generates the income required to fund your role.

You can either be made redundant or redeployed

If you have good at understanding of your marketable skills and advertising you find a new market to sell your skills into and organise that your job redeployes you to the new market.

Just like the sales pitch for tights some market places have reputational risk, carefull product placement can mitigate the risk. For some reason this company dont care and are aiming a mass market product at a niche market place.

No problem with a male model, a lot of builders/ outdoor workers wear tights in winter, but a simpering man dressed as a little girl, surrounded by stuffed unicorn toys? Straight from the pages of Pimp my Fetish.

CorpseReviver · 13/05/2022 11:13

No one has called anyone a 'peado' [sic].

There is a distinction between accusing individuals of being child molesters, and criticising a company for choosing to market its products with paraphiliac and child-fetishistic imagery.

Many of us believe that to be a bad thing. You, on the other hand, like it and have decided to buy more of their products as a direct result of their use of paraphiliac imagery.

Each to their own.

Perfectly put 😁

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/05/2022 11:45

Wait it's an advert for snag tights? I thought it was the cover of The Guardian!?

People can't see what's right in front of their eyes.

and this is the problem - it's the gradual softly, softly approach to make us accept what we see as normal.

maybe because you can go to ANY tights/lingerie companys advertising and see slim models. Snag are refreshing in they actually show models who're the same size as their target markets, not some skinny thing in a fatsuit.

StillSmallVoice · 13/05/2022 11:47

I am not a fan of Snag ads, but having bought about six pairs of their tight I have found that they start falling down after a few washes and I get a hole in the toe very quickly.
