Has anyone started a sandals thread yet?

I can't see one, so apologies if they have.

A few years ago I had a lovely pair of Steve Madden sandals. The straps were elasticated and never rubbed. The soles were comfy and I could walk for miles in them too. Alas the nude colour has now seen better days.

Has anyone seen anything similar? Or are there equally comfy and stylish sandals out there?

Oblomov22 · 13/04/2022 18:53

I've recently taken proud possession of these. Surprisingly comfortable!

@KillingMeDeftly those are beautiful! Where did you buy them as I can only find them on the spendy sites

ArtVandalay · 13/04/2022 19:19

I love those Lotta sandals. I recently bought some Swedish Hasbeens and I love them very much indeed.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 13/04/2022 19:21

I've gone for Birks, Papillio platform Arizonas

So comfy, already! Been squishing round the house in them.

ShortShinyBobbafett · 13/04/2022 19:28

I bought these this week - I've got loads of sandals. Like my Birkenstocks for round the garden but prefer something different most of the time. These are Ecco, really comfy, good for walking on hols. Bargain at £40!

I resisted the R&B Siracuse all last summer but still want them, so might pull the trigger when it gets a bit warmer. Those Boston ones Bichette posted are beautiful too, and probably a bit comfier.

Does anyone know how wide these come up? www.think-shoes-online.co.uk/women/sandals/35571/sandal-traudi-black

MsDastardley · 13/04/2022 20:03

I’ve got these www.russellandbromley.co.uk/portland/432034. They are very comfortable, and the leather lining is soft

@Puppylucky I got them from The Outnet for about £45 but it was a few months ago. I still haven't worn them but looks like it'll finally be sandal weather this weekend!

bendmeoverbackwards · 13/04/2022 21:57

@Bichette

I am coveting these from R&B. I had some similar from Timberland which were very comfy, the sole was quite spongy not rigid, but the insole was material which got a bit manky. These R&B ones are leather so I'm thinking justifying the extortionate price that they will last longer.
I love those @Bichette 😍

I have ordered a pair of Blowfish and Birkenstock, thanks for the suggestions!

I can report that I wore my Arizona Love sandals today @Puppylucky and they are extremely comfortable. Keep an eye on The Outnet!

I have those in tan, I bought them last year and they are very comfortable.

These year I have bought these:
www.birkenstock.com/cz-en/gizeh-natural-leather-spotted-metallic-brown/4054056658292.html

and these:
www.fashiola.co.uk/art-0587-mojave-mykonos-womens-open-toe-sandals-cuero-331473110.html
which are beautiful leather and very comfortable.

DSGR · 15/04/2022 21:54

I am a massive fan of Russell and Bromley footwear. Lasts years and they never rub (important for me as my feet rub in everything). The prices make me weep.
I’ve also had success with Sezane

Imabouttoexplode · 15/04/2022 22:18

Hard to chose between most of these www.ancient-greek-sandals.com/mobile/en/gbp/womens-sandals/best-sellers

I've got some Swedish Hasbeens and they are a thing of beauty.

Pawtriarchal · 16/04/2022 00:51

@Isabelle70

I like these slides but need to find a dupe as I cannot spend £333 on a pair of summer shoes!
Not quite as nice, but www.marksandspencer.com/wide-fit-leather-knot-flat-sandals/p/clp60532199?color=STONE#intid=prodflag_plp_ts_QP_30|pid_pg3pip48g2r32c0

These ones in black! I was looking at them earlier and started searching for a cheaper alternative. They’re gorgeous!

Ooh, I love those, would you mind reporting back on the fit (and comfort level!)? I’m a 6 1/2 and am never sure what size I need.

Think have a useful guide to their lasts which describes the fit:
www.think-shoes-online.co.uk/last-guide

MsRinky · 16/04/2022 11:04

@Notarealmum mine are going back. I have a lot of Esska shoes and am always a 6, but these are a fraction too narrow on the second strap (I do have stupidly high insteps). I'm sure the suede would give, but I want perfection for £130. I think as a 6.5 you'd likely have to go up to a 7 unless your feet are very narrow.

Puppylucky · 18/04/2022 12:37

Pleased to report that I've found a cheaper nearly dupe for the gorgeous Arizona Love sandals - the Carvella Kostello which are now twinkling on my feet :-)
