Has anyone started a sandals thread yet?

I can't see one, so apologies if they have.

A few years ago I had a lovely pair of Steve Madden sandals. The straps were elasticated and never rubbed. The soles were comfy and I could walk for miles in them too. Alas the nude colour has now seen better days.

Has anyone seen anything similar? Or are there equally comfy and stylish sandals out there?

This is making me think I need to go sandal shopping 😄

Can't go wrong with a Birkenstock, essential wearing. Also I cannot wear sandals with ankle straps due to candle issues/I think they make anyones legs look shorter.

I had an incredible pair of leather sandals from whistles years ago that I ran into the ground and have never seen anything as nice again. A sad tale. Maybe this year is the year.

@mumsn3tt3r

I bought these by accident and actually really like them on, so now I'm looking for a similar style in tan, if anyone can help!
They’re really nice!
PenOrPencil · 12/04/2022 22:48

I do not need sandals. I do not need sandals. I do not need sandals. Last year, when I also did not need sandals, I got a super comfy pair from Zalando. I think they were tamaris ones. I am still pondering Saltwaters, but my feet are very skinny and they seem quite wide. Anyway, I do not need sandals.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 12/04/2022 22:57

I like these, cheap too, what do you think?

[quote Goldengoosey]I’m lusting after these but they are v spendy and I’m worried if I splashed out I actually wouldn’t wear them much because of the studs. Plus when I looked at them a couple of weeks ago they were £225 and now £245! I really like Flatform sandals but I need comfort and have never had R&B before so no idea if these would be remotely comfortable x

😱 need these so bad! Also need £245 quote badly though. How will I get them out if my head??!! 😭

Dontsayyouloveme · 12/04/2022 23:32

I bought these last year in the sale reduced to £25 and they are gorgeous and so comfy !

Love a pair of Birkenstocks I do! 🥰

But do you want sandals? For that is the question

As a big fan of R&B. There is nothing like them! Others such as M&S try and copy but never get it right. I always buy the classic ones from R&B. The big soles just dont suit me.

bellaiceberg · 13/04/2022 13:38

Anyone else tired to death of Birks?
They're fab shoes and so comfy but I am sick of the sight of them after wearing them solid for over 4 summers now.

bellaiceberg · 13/04/2022 13:40

I also would not pay such an extortionate price for the R&B sandals either. They are very trend influenced and could age badly. I think they, like some other usually well reputed brands, are taking the old piss here.

That is an uber-fashion shoe, I've seen more convincing contenders at urban outfitters, fgs.

steelseries · 13/04/2022 13:41

@Isabelle70 I bought some of these last week after listing after them for a couple of years in the olive colour. They are sooo beautiful and surprisingly light & comfy

Dairymilk50 · 13/04/2022 13:57

@Organictangerine

Love those *@Dairymilk50*

I also have my eye on these

Fab choice! The picture doesn't do Blowfish sandals justice. I will definitely be treating myself to a couple of pairs so many nice designs.

I have never tried a pair of Birks before I will have to try some on also!.

Nope Grin I’m fact I’m buying another pair for Summer. I have black Madrids already and going to buy the Arizona Taupes.

I love my Birkenstocks. I have 4 pairs of arizonas and a slippers version.
Koigarden · 13/04/2022 14:08

As these are so cheap it’s be rude not to buy both pairs 😂

Bichette · 13/04/2022 14:12

I am coveting these from R&B. I had some similar from Timberland which were very comfy, the sole was quite spongy not rigid, but the insole was material which got a bit manky. These R&B ones are leather so I'm thinking justifying the extortionate price that they will last longer.

My Birkenstocks will have to be pried of my cold, dead feet by a grieving DH.

Only to be replaced by a new pair of black Arizonas for my burial outfit 😎

EasterIssland · 13/04/2022 14:45

thehoffbrand.com/en-gb/products/fiji
but waiting to go to spain to get them as it's cheaper there (it's a spanish brand)

i also like Birkenstocks

These are divine
KillingMeDeftly · 13/04/2022 17:14

I bought these Arizona Love sandals though I paid about half of what they are on the site. (Note: these are not my feet!)

I love the look of Birkenstocks but they really don't feel comfortable to me, they rub the soles of my feet in various places 😩

Ooh I’ve just seen that seller has the Boston flat forms in a 3. I’m embarrassed to say I’m a 3. My dh says they’re merely stumps. I’m 5’8, so I don’t know how I stand up.
Goldengoosey · 13/04/2022 18:26

@Bichette I was looking at those too. Gorgeous
