Why do they make white pants?

Am I the only one who hates white pants? They show up everything and I never like to wear them just in case. Yet so many packs of pants will have at least one white pair.

Does anyone actually like them?

I don't wear white because: stains. But equally black really highlight discharge. There, I said it.

Mine always go grey.

You can help counteract that by rinsing them as soon as you take off. It's them sitting around in air in the laundry basket that causes the reaction.

They tern grey after a few washes.

Black pants end up with bleached gussets & white pants end up looking a bit sad & grubby.

I buy black pants.

Although I picked up a 5 pack of Sainsbury Xmas pants (why? Who needs reindeer knickers?) for approximately 40p a pair in January, & I have to say, they're going strong.

They don't seem to fade like black dye does. So I'm happy swathing my arse in chirpy robins.

Yes. There’s been a post on Mn before re this and seemed to be divided about 50:50 between people who had this and others who had no idea this was a thing

Oh yes. More irritating than white IMO. Occasionally I have thrown a load of black stuff in the washing machine with a packet of Dylon. As long as it’s cotton it will return to black.

YANBU. There was an option of white period pants when I bought my black ones recently, I mean why? Just why?!

I like white. It looks fresh and clean and Santa buys me a new set every year. I wear a lot of white tops in summer, so I wear white bras and and I like the way they always match with no effort.

I don’t have periods though. I might go for black if I did. Stains are less pleasing. I don’t like black because they mostly don’t match my bras and because I have a fair bit of healthy vagjnal fluid which is whitish, so obviously shows a lot on black.

I can’t believe I just wrote all that about pants preference! To each her own.

White pants are great for going to Party In Your Pants events, as they glow under the UV lights. Great fun

I hate white pants. I don’t think I’ve ever had any.

I thought it was just me. ALL of my underwear is black. I may have the occasional pink thong but my whole draw is full of black knickers. I must have about 30+ that are all black. No other colours too lol, just black

All my black or coloured underwear bleach anyway so I don't really think about it too long.

They will only turn grey if you put them in with other colours. Keep white separate in the wash.

Those of you saying white pants go grey - you are doing something wrong. Anything I have which is white, stays white (and I never do a white wash, it's just dark and light).

Yes they’re horrid, as are white socks and white masks…I hate a white mask probably because they look like white pants!
