1990’s perfume

Beyond CK One, what other scents have their origins in the 90’s? I’m off to a 90’s night and would love to complete the look with the right smell (cigarettes and alcohol aside!).

I used to like Estee Lauder Private Collection. Although like others on here, I think it's earlier than the 90s.

Ah the 90s! The defining fragrance that I remember all my friends wearing was Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey. It totally sums up the 90s for me.

@Maireas you can still get Anais Anais- it's been around since the 70s. Make sure you get L'Original not the Delices version. It's a timeless classic.

Escape was my first proper perfume.

I had all of the Nina Ricci ones, too!

Anais Anais, Exclamation and Tommy Girl all remind me of the 90's. Every boy at school wore Cool Water. I also had a set of three perfumes called play, fforward and rewind that I loved but I'm not sure who made it.

I still wear Tommy Girl as my every day perfume!

I remember feeling very sophisticated when my parents bought me a bottle of Tommy Girl when I was about 15. It was my first ‘grown up’ perfume

CK One is the ultimate but also Exclamation and Tommy. I liked Nina Ricci Les Belles but I think it must have been discontinued.

It has indeed been discontinued and I lament it every single day - not even joking.

The smell of the 90s for me is definitely Cool Water. Everyone in my circle wore it, male and female. CK One would be a close second.

Body Shop White Musk and Dewberry and Charlie Red would have been earlier 90s for me when I'd have been about 13 or 14.

I was given Sunflowers by my gran and I felt soooo grown up but it gave me a banging headache.

My absolute favourite though was Clinique Happy. I loved it. I actually might try and get some!

I picked up a bottle of Cool Water as a cheap perfume for work recently and a few women in the 30s range smelled me and came over all nostalgic. I've sparked a small revival among the nurses, coppers and paramedics of South London!

Lou Lou Blue was another one (I liked it much better than the original). You used to get the little sets of miniatures of Amarige, Versace Red Jeans, Lou Lou and another one. Possibly Anais Anais.

Can I come to your 90s night please? I'll come as Angela from My So Called Life, and I'll be stinking of Cool Water.

Cool water and white musk and dewberry body shop sprays were my 99s fragrances of choice at the time. Also Charlie Red, So! And exclamation if you can find them.

Or of course you could just empty half a can of Impulse over yourself, including spraying it straight on your fingers to attempt to mask the fag smell. (And fail!)
