Royal style continues!
Thanks to Deftly for the thread title. Let's hope there's more Gucci and Chanel.....fewer coat dresses..,.

She seems to be favouring those print dresses at the moment. She really is tiny now; Justin Trudeau looks like a giant next to her.

@Maireas I feel positively spoilt with two tiaras! I wonder if there’re enough about for each of us to have three

HMQ looks lovely in those dresses she’s been wearing recently, and I had noticed the flowers too.

Before we start thinking about third tiaras can I reserve my second? The meander is very popular on here and I might be persuaded to lend it out if I've got a sub. Perish the thought that I might have to put the bins out bare-headed. The Napoleonic amethyst parure please but if that's taken the Norwegian amethyst would suffice.

I love the Napoleonic Amethyst tiara/parure! It’s just not really my colour...I’d love a gorgeous emerald set. But I am a bit of a hoarder. Better leave some for the rest of you!

Have you all seen the Scandinavian Royal Jewels programme? If not it’s definitely worth a watch - lots of commentary (in English)from Margrethe, Silvia, Mary and others, with a great peek at lots of lovely jewels. But I love it most for the rather lovely personal snippets about family history/heritage and the background stories to some of the pieces.

@Nnique, Maireas and I are both magpies when it comes to emeralds too, all the more if they are in a kokoshnik. Here’s mine- can’t remember what it’s called though.

@Maireas There are three further pieces of Russian Crown Jewellery that I feel strongly should stay with the wave tiara - an emerald and diamond necklace, a sapphire and diamond bracelet, and finally, a sapphire and diamond bow brooch. They were all ‘lost’ pieces, the-discovered at the same time and I think they ought to be kept together and I shall do my duty in that regard with great care and gratitude!

Emeralds are such a beautiful stone. That's why I have first dibs - I hope - on Wallis Simpson's absolutely stupendous emerald ring. It's perfect in its stark simplicity.
