Royal style continues!
Thanks to Deftly for the thread title. Let's hope there's more Gucci and Chanel.....fewer coat dresses..,.

I'd like to apologise for mentioning the hundreds of pairs of tartan trews my DM made upthread, I seem to have unwittingly released some bad tartan juju on the thread in the form of Edward's outfit

KillingMeDeftly · 01/03/2022 12:27

Red scarf and daffodil pin looks to be the extent of it today!

She’s got my coat on. Again. 😂

Prince Charles has been taken on a visit to a nursing home. I love his outfit! I'm sure he must cheer up the nursing home inhabitants no end - though as they appear to be drinking sparkling wine, perhaps they have no need of cheering up! This is the kind of nursing home I could really get on board with. Wink

@KillingMeDeftly

It's a wet day for the Cambridge Wales visit today so I doubt Kate will be in the yellow Wimbledon dress. But I think I've found a sneak peak of what she'll be wearing...

😂😂😂😂😂

Prince Charles is so gorgeous! (you know the one I mean!)
I really like that they take him to visit the elderly, nursing homes etc. It must really cheer people up.

Yes, he's so squidgy and cute (same, @Maireas, the little Charles not the big one!)
I love how Kate looks in that red scarf photo. Always so animated and interested (and looks great!)

gingercat02 · 01/03/2022 16:51

The other Charles 😅 and Cams have been to Southend to bestowe City status. PC very dapper as always. Cams in black or very dark navy presumably in respect for the late MP

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 01/03/2022 18:25

Was Kate wearing a read pashmina?

I want then to come back

Maireas · 01/03/2022 19:44

I like Kate's green coat and sweater. They're both looking nice here.

I prefer the green of William's jumper to the green of Kate's jumper.

KillingMeDeftly · 01/03/2022 19:48

That's a very Charles expression/pose on William there!

Love Kate's look this afternoon - that's a great coat on her, she's worn it lots before.

evilharpy · 01/03/2022 21:20

Great outfit on Kate.

I don't even know what to say about Edward! God love him. I find him rather likeable, but that outfit is... quite something.

gluenotsoup · 01/03/2022 21:24

I like that one, nice colour on both K and W, but then I go like green. Kate’s obviously lurking- green coat ✔️ Daffodil✔️ Boots ✔️.
Sooo- Kate, we need a secret style signal next time you are out and about. Headband maybe?
Edward- just no. Sophie, you need to have a word😂

gluenotsoup · 01/03/2022 21:25

I’m quite fond of Edward though, he just seems likeable and earnest

evilharpy · 01/03/2022 21:28

He does, very smiley and always seems pleased to be wherever he is.
AdaColeman · 01/03/2022 21:35

I think we are getting a glimpse of Edward’s inner luvvy there, with his burgundy velvet jacket and tartan trews. He was at a fundraising Gala for the National Youth Theatre, which he’s been a patron of for many years. It’s a nice photo of him relaxed and smiling, he usually looks rather straight laced.

KillingMeDeftly · 01/03/2022 21:52

Yes, I was going to say Edward's going back to his theatrical roots in that ensemble.

SenecaFallsRedux · 01/03/2022 23:08

I like it when men step out of the box, but Edward may have taken it one step too far. I like the velvet jacket, the trews not so much.

KillingMeDeftly · 02/03/2022 09:13

Tonight's reception is cancelled so no more Kate sightings until the Commonwealth Day ceremony in a couple of weeks time. And then the Caribbean tour, which should give us plenty to talk about! The Wessexes are also going Caribbean this year - basically visiting all the places the Cambridges aren't going. But Princess Anne has been stuck with Papua New Guinea, not a place I'd relish going as it's apparently one of the most dangerous countries in the world. Still, if anyone can face down danger with a steely glint in their eye it's Anne...

gluenotsoup · 02/03/2022 19:25

Well… in the absence of any other Royal Style, I saw Princesss Anne today. She was at St Mary’s maternity hospital, but I haven’t spotted it being reported really. I was at RMCH with dd, in a room above the maternity area, so had a perfect birds eye view!
The hospital was spic and span, all staff in smart shiny shoes, and a very well dressed welcome committee. One lady had a fabulous pink suit and hat, another a pretty green midi dress and boots, and another in a well cut dress and red heels. Anne’s arrival was heralded by disgruntled families commenting on “who on earth parked there???”😂. Security was huge.
I didn’t meet her, just watched from above while dd was in theatre, but she was very unhurried. She spent a lot of time speaking to individuals, the transition between areas was fast, the entourage much bigger than I expected. Anne looked business like, in a grey jacket with gold brooch, skirt and knee length boots, hair up. She was surprisingly small, and looked less like Princess Anne in reality than she does in photos, strangely. She looked smart, but didn’t outshine, almost as though she could be doing her shopping in M&S.
A fabulous hospital, I’m sure they really valued her support today. I’ll go abs and look for a photo 😊

Maireas · 02/03/2022 19:41

Ooooh, thanks for that, @gluenotsoup!
Great detail. I've heard that in real life she's very petite. It's nice that she spent time with people, and that the visit was unhurried. I'm also glad that the good work done by the staff is recognised.
Also...Papua New Guinea?! Interesting
😉
