The colour changing watch reminds me of the one in the eighties that everyone else hadI wanted, it was white but had a coloured ring round the face that came off and you could change the colour....does any one remember? Off to Google I go....

@frugalkitty Yes, my mother had one of those watches, in fact I still have it somewhere! It had quite a few different colour options. Not sure of the brand.

DoC is reading a story for CBeebies! I'm afraid I don't like that jumper or her jeans. My beef with the jumper is the gold buttons on the sleeves, which I think look cheap. And I hate that colour of jeans - though I know they're fashionable.

There was a Gucci watch with interchangeable bezels. My mother gave me one for a milestone birthday. I still have it but the battery is dead and I haven't replaced it so never wear it. Like so many people, I no longer wear a watch, but maybe I should do it now and then in memory of my mom. Mine also has a gold tone bezel and a silver one.

Words fail me on those CPM rooftop photos. It's all beginning to feel very self-indulgent and very very weird. I don't get it! Fred has lost some clothing by the last pic.. he might as well be helping her up after a quick shag on the roof. Like can you imagine headlines if that was Will and Kate 😆

And yes, all the CPM photos and "media opportunities" are way over the top. More American celeb type exposure than Scandinavian royalty, which has always been somewhat low key. A real surprise.

What I found amusing was that she was speaking English with a slight Danish accent in their engagement interview. She'd only just moved to Copenhagen!

Aussies are also famously low-key and no-nonsense so they must be howling at Mary's antics down under. The tabloids there do love "our Mary" but I suspect the general public would just roll their eyes.

I can't believe I forgot but I have a friend who works on Copenhagen. I must ask him what people think of the monarchy there! Will report back later...

I think her eyes look quite happy in that photo. It's Charles who is smiling just from his mouth. Let's not forget that no one knew the outcome of her marriage and life at this time.

Remember that she had consented to marry Charles and indeed set her cap at him. It was considered a very advantageous coup for her. Her age? Well , often there is 10 years of difference in couples. And she was an adult, not underage. She was willing to sacrifice her youth; parties, flings, experiences, back packing etc, to become the Princess of Wales
