Just had a look through some new bits, there’s a new striped Emma tshirt on there for £75. Seems extreme when they have always been £55-60. I’ll just stare at it for now!

Yes the one thing I like is verrry expensive.
Not overly excited by anything new so far.
My gathered hem skirt arrived and I’m glad I sized down (phew) I suspect I’ll wear this mostly in spring summer although it could be worn with long boots and a jumper. The material is quite light . The pockets as ever are great. That’s my sale shopping done.

Loving the new things. Particularly the yellow nest sweater, the cropped cardigan with the wee pocket, the new Alix and matching jacket, the brown trench coat…

An awful lot of brown was my impression though @ScottishMouse. I would like something brighter.

I did think that @Countmeout, but I am quite partial to a nice brown with a pop of something brighter.

Ooh new stuff? 👀....I am planning a trip to Bath today....not sure if I will get to Toast , but I reckon that they wont have any new things in anyway ...

The description says both that they are a linen cotton mix and that they are 100% cotton. I’m hoping the latter. They are definitely on my wish list.

I'm wearing the blue poplin pin tuck dress today for the first time. I think it's going to be a solid work piece going forward and I'm really pleased with it.

Price reductions on JL .. they dont have much Toast though.. But I did price match the oil skirt I still have waiting at home for me

I've ended up sending almost all of my initial order back, apart from the navy washed jumper. But I have ended up ordering a whole new amount:

Sadie shirt

poplin skirt

And the aran cardigan as everyone has been raving about it!

Interesting question about favourite Toast purchase from last year.
I only bought one thing direct from the Toast website - the palm print skirt, everything else was eBay but my best buys were the tiered cord dress from a few autumns ago, a pinafore dress (also a couple of years old) and a twill dress with tie waist and short sleeves - think this may be from quite a while ago as don't recall seeing it on the website.

I think I prefer slightly older Toast to the current offerings. Also I am not keen on brown, it just does not suit me

Is anyone having trouble making small orders with Toast using PayPal? Anything under £100 doesn't seem to go through for me. I've spoken to PayPal and they seem to think it's a merchant problem. Toast don't know of a problem though.
Obviously I'll just have to make bigger orders .

Does anyone remember if there's usually a further reduction?

I really like those new Alix trousers - wish they'd do some in a cotton twill like the Gabis. I find the cotton/linen mix is too chilly except in the summer

@TheChattyRat, you have a lovely haul coming. I have that Sadie shirt and it is great with jeans or with smarter trousers or a skirt.

@ToastCosILoveIt I’ve been looking at the Sadie shirt - I’m tempted to buy it for wearing under my Toast pinafores. Sizing guidance would be really helpful if you don’t mind - if I’m Toast dress size 12 do you think that size would be right in the shirt? TIA

Yes @faustina, cotton twill Alix would be great. I too find the cotton linen ones a little too light for this time of year, I have been wearing my indigo ones probably 5 days out of 7 for the last couple of months!

Arghhhhhh! I am so weak. I've just ordered the Aran cardigan in Chalk after the resounding success of the apple green one. The colour is quite likely to make me look ill, so I'm unsure, but thought I may as well try it as if it looks good I know I love the style.

Some nice new things on the site, but I'm not sure the prices of some of things are worth it for me. The Emma tee being a good example already mentioned.

@faustina there is usually another reduction, they definitely gone to 60 percent off in the recent past and prior to that 70 percent. However their sale strategy has changed so who knows? Lots of things still full priced that I'd expect to have gone into the sale. Lots of properly winter items...although maybe they'll pop up in a sale later in the year and they're applying the logic that it's still cold so they might get full price for a lot of those items?

@Saurus72, I have the 12 in the Sadie and I am a busty high street 12 and it fits me well. It is a thin shirt (that's not a criticism) and i think it would look great under a pinafore. i never tried the 10 on but I don't think the Sadie is as generous as some of Toast's shirts.

PS my Toast denim pinafore (the one with the big pockets) is a 10.

@ScottishMouse - me too! Except I'm finding they aren't wearing terribly well - pulled threads, and they don't seem to hang quite as nicely as the cotton linen ones. Also, they look good with trainers but not so much with boots (blundstones ) - what do you wear with them when it's cold?

@AmethystMoonShine - I have my eye on a couple of things but they're still quite expensive. Fingers crossed!
