M&S beauty advent calendar - Thread 2

Really pleased with today's perfume. I love Shay & Blue and had been waiting for one of their perfumes and had almost given up hope! Their fragrances are always a bit different and even just a tiny squirt lasts all day. I ended up buying the full size version of Black Tulip after getting it in the calendar a couple of years ago.

I like the smell of the perfume and have just finished the bottle I got for Christmas last year so that's nice. I'm not sure if its very 'wintery' but it is nice.

I also liked Black Tulip from a few years ago but find the S&B perfumes don't have a huge amount of staying power. This is nice though!

Happy with this and really happy that I have the tin to store my goodies in. M&S was excellent this year I think

£25 for the perfume??? It’s a tiny bottle. It’s a lovely scent, but has no staying power. Crikey. I wear expensive perfume and it lasts all day. Thought it was a cheapo one.

Can someone describe the scent? I have no sense of smell at all so will spritz it on but would like to know what I smell like

Yes sweet and floral but not sickley, I think it smells of Spring, but not grassy. I'm not very good at this game :P

I love today's! Have really enjoyed this years, maybe I appreciate it more as there wasn't one last year....

Sorry, but on me it is sickly and sweet - and heavy. I like light floral perfumes, but I wouldn't describe this as light and floral.

I'm obviously in a minority here, but this perfume represents everything I dislike about a perfume.

I have just used that Alpha -H lotion, from earlier in the advent box. I have stupidly sensitive skin so have been a bit scared to try it.

Hoping to wake up with an improved complexion! (I've taken an antihistamine just in case.)

I thought this year’s calendar was the best yet. I don’t think there’s anything I won’t use, and there’s quite a lot of stuff I will buy again, like the Prai night creme, the mascara and the Occitane moisturiser.

Merry Christmas all! Love today’s and it feels like a proper present too also quite like the perfume from yesterday. As a PP said the blood Orange is my favourite and has been purchased full size a few times since we had it in the calendar. That one always feels Christmassy to me. Thanks for the calendar chat! 🎄

Merry Christmas. Yes happy overall with what’s been in the calendar.just think I’d have preferred yesterday’s perfume today as it was more treaty to me than today’s. But definitely one of the better years for me.

Very happy with today's too. It's been a great calendar and thread.

For me todays is the best (along with the EH Balm) I've had this Aveda product before (poss from the summer box?) and it's brilliant. I agree that this has probably been the best advent calendar yet from M&S.

I also think this is the best calendar. Only a few fails from me. The shower oil, liquid eyeliner, brown mascara and the perfume can all go in room 101.

Merry Christmas! Disappointed to have a third hair cream/balm that isn’t compatible with fine, soft hair but maybe they will read my wish list for next year!

Today's value is £36.00 bringing our final total to £301.83. It gets really good reviews on the John Lewis website.
I've been really pleased with the products this time and I'm wearing yesterday's perfume again today.

I have this hair product from the summer beauty bag. I only wash my hair twice a week so it takes ages to go through this kind of thing.

I think it's been a good calendar overall - no black eyeliner was my personal highlight! - look forward to catching up again next December. Happy Xmas!!
