Couldn’t find a JL thread when I searched so thought I would start one myself. Going by the run-up-to-December advent threads, I think a few of us have it.

I can barely smell todays perfume but I do really like the scent. My senses might be a bit dulled still from covid though. It'll be a work perfume.

But the Juliette has a gun perfumes smell much more potent. Possibly my senses are coming and going

Sosigsandwich · 15/12/2021 22:50

Not 100% on the perfume. In last year's (or the year before maybe) we got one from Floral Street called Electric Rhubarb which was lovely and I get lots of compliments on.

Talisin · 16/12/2021 05:40

Hmm. Wasn’t sure what the point of this was so looked it up. Lots of negative reviews about the formulation changing recently (bright side is I don’t know what it was like before so can’t negatively compare).

I did exactly the same @Talisin, it's getting absolutely stinking reviews. Not even sure whether to bother trying it.

DarlingCoffee · 16/12/2021 07:16

Is it a toner? Like pixi glow? In other news I tried the dried shampoo this morning and it’s absolutely fantastic

NameChangeinHaste · 16/12/2021 07:27

This is my first real Drawer of Disappointment! I always used to get this free when ordering LE cleanse and polish, and it always say on the shelf unused and unloved!

Stoic123 · 16/12/2021 07:36

Just tried toner on backs of hands and read reviews.

For me- it's a bit too heavily scented for a toner and was a bit sticky at first. Stickiness largely goes away when dried, leaving nice skin texture, but smell remains. Will try today on face but not high hopes.

@DarlingCoffee prompted me to test out the dry shampoo too. It's not something I will use regularly but it is loads better than other brands I've tried in the past.

festivefuschias · 16/12/2021 07:51

No, this is just a standard toner. I tried the whole range around 20 years ago so this is a blast from the past! The range didn’t do much for my skin even back then, but I’ll use this after removing face masks etc.

Chickydoo · 16/12/2021 08:51

Underwhelmed today, however it will get used

JustLikeaJingleBell · 16/12/2021 10:09

I've tried this before and didn't like it. I don't like Liz Earle products much.

Sosigsandwich · 16/12/2021 16:27

I'm not a fan either... This will be going in the bag of things to donate to my mum!

dedee · 16/12/2021 17:55

After reading this, just realised I opened tomorrow’s box instead of today’s. 😊

I haven’t tried either product but willing to try them

JustLikeaJingleBell · 16/12/2021 18:40

I'm trying out the Hourglass mascara because I opened it accidentally thinking it was a lipstick. I'll let you know re staying power

Sosigsandwich · 16/12/2021 20:42

I'm liking the hourglass mascara. Usually use Bad Gal Bang and very very similar tbh.

JustLikeaJingleBell · 16/12/2021 23:37

Yes very nice the Hourglass mascara. Long thick lashes and stayed put.

Talisin · 17/12/2021 05:39

I keep saying ‘useful’ a lot and this is useful - but not exciting. It’s something I do use, just not my usual brand.

I also tried the Hourglass mascara yesterday and it seems pretty good although I did have some problems holding on to the triangle brush handle while applying.

Stoic123 · 17/12/2021 06:26

Not giddy about this one but will use it so not quite a DoD. Yesterday's Liz Earle item ended in up in the bin as I tried it and didn't like it at all.

Today's is a bit similar to yesterday (but better) - so hoping for something more exciting tomorrow.

festivefuschias · 17/12/2021 08:58

Hmm my skin doesn’t like these exfoliating toners; it didn’t get on with pixi glow tonic or the liquid gold so I’m not sure about this. Not very exciting after getting a toner yesterday.

JustLikeaJingleBell · 17/12/2021 09:45

I liked this from last years AC so I'm happy to have more. It's lasts ages because a few drops on a cotton pad goes a long way, it's great for prepping skin.

JustLikeaJingleBell · 17/12/2021 09:53

Actually it was in the beauty box not AC

Tobogganist · 17/12/2021 13:44

I've just opened the Juliette has a gun box. I can't read the writing but what am I missing here? One of the tubes is completely empty the "this is not a perfume" one. Is that how it's meant to be?

festivefuschias · 17/12/2021 14:05

No it isn’t supposed to be empty - both of mine are full. Does your advent calendar box smell particularly nice?!

Tobogganist · 17/12/2021 14:47

Ah thank you! No smell it is completely empty. Looks like it was never filled. I thought it was something v sophisticated that I hadn't figured out and that's why it was "not a perfume" 😆 I'll contact JL.

festivefuschias · 17/12/2021 15:03
Grin

That’s annoying but they should send out a replacement.

NameChangeinHaste · 17/12/2021 18:20

A box with a sense of irony!
