Couldn’t find a JL thread when I searched so thought I would start one myself. Going by the run-up-to-December advent threads, I think a few of us have it.

Yes I wear different perfumes depending on my mood.

TooMuchEyeliner · 04/12/2021 13:34

I’ve been taken down by an awful virus (not the C-word thankfully) and have no sense of smell so slightly disappointed today! It looks lovely though.

Can’t wait to engage my olfactory emotions next week 🤞

NameChangeinHaste · 04/12/2021 13:41

I thought it was a men’s scent… though I do often steal DH’s perfumes so works well for me. But wonder if it’s too masculine for many people.

festivefuschias · 04/12/2021 14:37

It smells quite fruity to me.

Xiaoxiong · 04/12/2021 15:02

I absolutely love today's scent and so does DH - he even stole some for himself! Everyone who doesn't like their can send me your teeny tiny bottles Grin

The eyeshadow stick is good for me too but I'm quite pale, it nicely hides all the blue veins in my eyelids without looking too dark.

Stoic123 · 05/12/2021 08:11

The online reviews for today's offering (Clinique Moisture Srurge 100H -15ml) seem good. Not something I've tried/thought of trying before.

It's a handy travel product/size so this will be going away with me on family visit over Christmas.

PS- on Day 5 of AB Rich Cream use and getting a sinking feeling that I might end up loving it.

Chickydoo · 05/12/2021 09:15

Not blown away by today's moisturiser. It is very small. I guess it might be useful for a weekend away. I don't usually use Clinique so might be surprised.

festivefuschias · 05/12/2021 09:38

I’m happy with today’s. I tried the original version years ago and quite liked it although I preferred other moisturisers - I’m looking forward to seeing what this latest version is like.

15ml is the same size as the AB Rich cream we had, which I’ve been using daily, but which hasn’t impressed me. It isn’t hydrating enough for me.

BlueBelle81 · 05/12/2021 10:21

I love today's cream. It feels really light and comfortable. The AB cream is pretty heavy and doesn't go very far but I'm reluctant to use too much as I have spot prone skin.

I love the variety so far!

Bavarois · 05/12/2021 10:37

I love Clinique Moisture Surge, discovered it in an ASOS calendar years ago and repurchase when my skin is especially dry. I can only use it at night or on makeup free days though, I find it too greasy/tacky for under makeup. It's an occasional use thing for me almost as an overnight mask. Pleased with this today as I'm hungover and my skin could use some hydration.

Bavarois · 05/12/2021 10:38

Oh and I find a little goes a long way so I'm not annoyed by the size, I reckon it's enough to tell if you like it or not.

DarlingCoffee · 05/12/2021 11:12

Very happy with the products so far in JL!

festivefuschias · 05/12/2021 11:15

Yes I think that 15ml is a decent enough size. In the past I’ve just had larger full size pots on day 24 from other calendars (I.e. of the Elemis cream). Another more expensive calendar I looked at this year had a lot of 5ml and 10ml items which is why I didn’t go for it in the end.

festivefuschias · 05/12/2021 11:15

I’m also very happy with it so far!

Talisin · 05/12/2021 11:22

Oh I like todays, I had this in a calendar or beauty box last year and it really works for me. I find gel texture stuff absorbs much better than creams with my skin.

JustLikea · 05/12/2021 11:39

Very happy with todays offering.
I bought the original a few times and it suits my sensitive combination skin.

JustLikea · 05/12/2021 11:42

You only only need a tiny amount of this to cover your face so it does actually last a long while. Less if you're applying over a serum as skin then less thirsty

dedee · 05/12/2021 17:04

I haven’t tried this cream before but good to see that it is hydrating

Sosigsandwich · 05/12/2021 17:53

I'm loving the evolve scrub, already have a number of their products. Highly recommend their glow mask if anyone likes the scrub and wants to try any of their products. I already have 3 of the caviar sticks but don't have this colour so very happy. Excited to try the Clinique cream but the Augustine Bader one was a bit claggy for me and I thought the Hermes was for men, not my kind of smell at all.

festivefuschias · 05/12/2021 19:03

I like the evolve scrub but it’s a bit drying for my skin. I like how easily it washes off compared to others though. I used the caviar stick again today - I love how quick and easy it is to apply.

DarlingCoffee · 06/12/2021 07:11

I have to admit I was looking forward to today’s and for me it does not disappoint!! Really liking this calendar so far, and very pleased I took the plunge and purchased.

Stoic123 · 06/12/2021 07:56

I have been looking forward to trying Juliette has a Gun so I'm pleased to get this today (2 x 5ml EDP).

I haven't opened to sniff yet because have too many other perfume samples on the go just now but interested to read what others think.

Chickydoo · 06/12/2021 08:05

Perfume samples are both wearable and not overpowering, not bowled over with the smell of either. Good handbag size though.

JustLikea · 06/12/2021 09:11

Those perfumes sprayed together are absolutely sensational. I've never smelt anything like it. They're making my head swoon they're so delightful.

Interestingly now I've had them on a while I can smell a note of white musk from the body shop which I wore as a teenager. Maybe that's something to do with why I like it so much. I don't think so though

Chickydoo · 06/12/2021 09:30

@JustLikea I can smell that too. It takes me back to being 15 again....good times...
