The Cambridges got photographed on their way to church yesterday. In this shot Kate looks more like CPM than she does herself! I'm not a fan of that style of hat. Bit too "country" for my liking.

We also had a nice day eventually, very different to planned, Covid and other health issues, but lots to be thankful for.

And did anyone watch A Very British Scandal with Claire Foy last night? I didn't realise that the infamous royal biographer Lady Colin Campbell was the SDIL of Margaret of Argyll.

There’s a lovely little film on the BBC News, of Camilla talking about books. She’s wearing navy blue, which I don’t think is a very good colour for her, she is better wearing a lighter softer blue.

I agree that Camilla looks best in soft blues, warm whites/creams and pastels.

Oh I have watched all of A Very British Scandal and really enjoyed it. Some absolutely beautiful fashion to appreciate too. I couldn't quite shake the feeling of Claire Foy being the Queen, only with a lot more sex!

I’m watching it too. My only issue is Claire Foy seems too likeable a person to be credible as the Duchess. I guess they are trying to put a bit of a hermeneutical/ feminist slant on the story, but by all accounts ( not least her own in her autobiography) she was a self centred, spoilt airhead.

Just watching it too. Fell down a wiki wormhole. Didn't realise that the Manners girls are her great granddaughters.

Tatler's best dressed royals of 2021. Some of the looks I like (Kate's golden gown, Charlotte's quilted Chanel coat, Letizia's leather dress) but others I'm not so keen on. I don't think Amelia Windsor or Olympia of Greece are anything out of the ordinary but trading on a name gets you far!

I wonder if the Greeks will drop their titles after the current king passes away? At least he actually reigned for a number of years - it'll be a bit ridiculous if his son and grandson decide to call themselves king after he's gone!

I'm not sure I agree with all of Tatler's choices there either. I like both of Kate's dresses they've chosen, also CPM and Max's looks, and agree about Beatrice Borromeo.

However, I think Meghan's suit in image 2 is one of her worst outfits (though she has worn some very stylish looks of course), and I think their claim about Sophie being very fashionable and stylish is wide of the mark. I really admire Sophie and she occasionally gets it right fashion-wise, but more often than not her outfits are a miss from me.

Apart from the colour, I wasn't a fan of Meghan's trouser suit but I think oversized is on-trend? I liked the turquoise on Sophie but the blousy top half of that dress would make even the most pert-bosomed woman look in need of a bra intervention!

I loved both Kate's gowns and loved Sophie's turquoise gown (although I know what you mean - I think she's a 'functional' dresser, rather than really loving clothes and can be a bit hit and miss style-wise.)
Liked the colour of Meghan's trouser suit, but really didn't like the style. She does casual best of all and looks amazing with jeans and shirt or jumper. Dress wise - was that turquoise in the rain one this year? If so, that for me was her best look.

I doubt that very much! I suspect that the titles will be maintained. Rather like that chap who takes the Sussex pictures - uses titles not recognised in Poland or Austria! I suppose it opens doors, cachet etc

There are some 'hits' for me on there - Kate, Leti, Caroline C and Princess Sofia (minus the headband) but also some big misses. I love Max's outfits but don't think the one they've chosen there is her at her Max best. Similarly Meghan's red suit did little for her - I much prefer the dress she wore for the Oprah interview.

Not sure William qualifies on the basis of one good jacket!?

I loved the gold Kate dress. Not only was she smoking in it, but she looked like she was having a blast.

I've said it before, since she had Louis she just looks so smiley and relaxed.

I even like it when she gets it a bit wrong or a bit literal, because you know she will pull out a total banger next.

I also thought Kate's choice for Prince Philip's funeral was beautiful, though I don't know if it's appropriate to nominate it for a 2021 best style moment.
