Some great ensembles on CPV there - she's really leaned into the l midi in the past year. Love the red velvet and sparkly gunmetal gowns!

Love those CPV looks. Another fan of the charcoal knitwear, the gunmetal evening dress and the red velvet. She also goes for some bold jewellery at times, and as you say @Maireas not a coatdress in sight.

It’s the 50th anniversary of Queen Margrethe’s ascension to the throne this weekend. They had to cancel all the formal celebrations, but held a family dinner for her, with a family portrait taken. They all look lovely, though my main takeaway is how tall Prince Christian has got. With the bouffy hair he’s taller than Joachim!

Princess Benedikte is also very tall! Apparently Queen M stands at around 6 foot so I guess she must be the same.

Joachim needs to give up the hair dye. It makes him look older than Frederik!

I think she's about 15/16 now? Joachim's oldest son is apparently a model but he's got a bit of a Timothee Chalamet look, which is quite on trend.

Felipe and Leti have hosted a reception. Leti always looks elegant but I'm afraid I don't like this dress, though I gather it's vintage Valentino and belonged to her MIL. The contrast between the sheer filmy top half and stiff fabric of the skirt doesn't really work imo.

Thanks, MoP - I've noticed that Leti has been wearing a few vintage pieces from her mother-in-law's wardrobe, which is a lovely idea.

I agree it's not quite right, though. Is it the proportions? The skirt looks as if it doesn't quite fit.

Yes Maireas I think you're right that the skirt isn't a perfect fit. I expect it's tricky getting vintage pieces to fit well, though presumably she has a seamstress or tailor.

No, I don’t like that. It looks likes it’s borrowed I’m afraid, when the best of vintage shows the beauty of it with a new slant or bit of old school glamour or quirkiness. That just doesn’t do it for me. 😳

I think it's the drop-waist effect that's throwing off the proportions. The still photo is lovely, but when you see the skirt without her arms in the way it doesn't look right.

I can't imagine wanting to wear my MiL's old clothes but then again my MiL isn't a queen!

Maybe if she had some vintage Chanel and Valentino!
