I'm late to the tiara party but hopefully no one else has the Belgian Nine Provinces tiara?

It has three different formats - base, base plus lozenges and base with lozenges and 100 carats of solitaires in the lozenges. I think tomorrow I will go full on big gun with the 100 carats!

Good on Kate, the short video I saw showed just the same notes repeatedly but not easy to get up there and do that with the world watching. Fair play to her. Happy Christmas all! I hope my Christmas day outfit is up to scratch!!

Her piano part started off simple, but got a little more complex towards the end. I'd have stumbled so many times playing that, you need a steady hand!

She learned as a child, her teacher wa interviewed before she married and said she was never going to be a concert pianist but was good

We celebrate today so I'm stuffed (too much Christmas dinner) and squiffy (too much champagne) so I'm currently sporting my Spencer tiara on the wonk complete with pjs and fake ugg boots. Classy.

Thought the carol concert was a lovely idea. And it’s nice to see some of the other royals - and Kate’s family support her. I get so nervous playing the piano in front of an audience - so we’ll done to her. It was a nice personal touch.

And I always think her and Sophie look like they genuinely get on.

And have to say the Belgian Nine Provinces Tiara is beautiful. Wish I had bagsed it.

We celebrate today too, Frugalkitty, and we've just waved off my DS1 and DiL as they trundle off into a wet rather than snowy Christmas Eve night. I rather like the sound of Christmas Eve in Finland described earlier as well.

The carol service was lovely and the piano playing fantastic - how brave! But I felt the coat looked like it would have been uncomfortable to play in, I think I'd have chosen something more relaxed or simply taken the coat off and played in the dress underneath.
Oh and HMQ looks great with the red lip!

Love the piano playing. I think the royal family are so lucky to have her, she's very sweet and bright as a button.

latedecember my DH works for a Finnish company, his boss sent him a photo of his car today with about a foot of snow on top of it! We had drizzle down here but we did get a dry patch for a walk on the beach at lunchtime.

We had a lovely Christmas break in Finland, came home at the weekend, just a day and half before I ended up in hospital with dd, we see home now just in time for Christmas Day.

I was wearing my Poltimore tiara earlier, but unfortunately it fell off whilst I was in the bath. I’ve got it dripping dry in the plate rack now, so I’m hoping it will be alright to wear by lunchtime.
