I see what you mean about the sleeves, the braiding kind of cuts across the sleeve too low & the flared bit of sleeve is out of proportion to the rest of the arm.
Personally I would have preferred the braiding used as edging on the bottom of the sleeve or no braiding & the sleeve flare starting further up & wider or very low down & thinner.
(I feel a diagram may be in order 😂)

Off-topic but did anyone watch the ladies FA Cup final at the weekend? For a moment I thought the ever-enterprising Meghan had got herself a job as a football pundit as one of the commentators looked like her!

Turns out said commentator Alex Scott is also on Strictly, paired with a red-haired and bearded dancer, and they've been dubbed the H&M of Strictly!

Irish posters ( and there appear to be many ) on this thread might have seen the Designed For Life programmes on RTE lately. There is a Spanish presenter Zara Leon who gives interior design tips on it and I think she is so like Meghan.
Did anyone else see the similarity. It doesn't show in photographs of her at all but on the tv it is obvious.

I think she looks great but I know you often have beef with her accessories para, and even I can see that the shoes aren't right. A different colour footwear was needed.

I'd say shoes, earrings and coat dress length. And why wear a funeral dress (albeit in a different colour) to a 'joyful' event. It's a bit weird. I also think the dress would be more suited to a Sophie or a Camilla, if they had less boobage.

It's just so staid.

I really like the red, although it's a bit obvious for Christmas event (bless her!) I also like the detail on the coat, but agree that different shoes may have been better.

The red is fine per se, it's just so dull as a complete outfit. And confused when you chuck in delicate (& gorgeous) sapphire and diamond dangly earrings.

You're right. She can't go out looking like a sparkly showgirl but she can go out not looking so matronly. Leti, CPV, CPM would all be able to dress better to such an event and are all of 'higher' stature in rank terms

I was thinking something like this dress - sparkly and festive but not ultra glam like the Bond premiere gown. But again with different shoes!

Though looking at it again, I'd prefer just one sequin pattern on the sleeves rather than three!

Oh yes, that dress is so much better. Gorgeous colour and a bit of sparkle but yes, gunmetal or sequins sparkly shoes are still needed!

I like her shoes but I'd have worn dark green ones with a dark green bag (well the tone of green that sits opposite that shade of red on the colour wheel - so the contrast works)
