Are there no clothing offers with this any more or am I doing something wrong? All I have is £10 off Gary Barlow tickets Grin and some lifestyle discount. Don't even get in-store vouchers for food shops now.
I've been holding off buying a pair of jeans, In the hope of % off.

So I stopped.

@Whitney168

Sparks really is the most useless loyalty scheme ever ...

(Boots Advantage Card, on the other hand - barely ever go in there, yet I somehow always seem to have loads of points?!)

Boots card is fab and my top tip is that if you ever need new appliances/white goods buy through boots appliances online, they use AO to fulfil the orders but you get advantage points. A £300 tumble dryers worth of Boots points (especially if you've got a double points offer) adds up really quickly!
WineAndMassage · 22/11/2021 23:44

Garry Barlow here too. Nothing exciting for the past four months. I was wondering too what's happening with Sparks...

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/11/2021 07:31

I haven't even had the Gary Barlow ticket offer. Just a small amount of money off flowers! I still buy at M&S (mainly online) but never remember to use my Sparks card when in-store.

I have been holding out for a 20% off code or two (as they always used to do in late October/early November), as I have some things I'd like to buy but want the benefit of a discount!

Taps foot impatiently!

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 23/11/2021 09:01

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 You can have my Gary Barlow offer if you like. No really ... it's no trouble. I'm nice that wayGrinGrin

Westcott313 · 23/11/2021 09:31

I've been waiting for 20% off clothing as we all need new underwear and basics! I am actually not looking to buy anything else in the black Friday sales.

I wonder if it's to do with stock availability? Any discount will affect stock as people increase their spending and I'm guessing post lockdown they probably haven't got the same stock levels....

I'm still hoping though fingers crossed!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/11/2021 10:29

@DontTellThemYourNamePike that's so sweet of you but I couldn't possibly Wink!

They don't seem to have done the regular 20% off 'share with family and friends' vouchers (that they used to do regularly throughout the year) since the pandemic started?

It's very annoying. It's all very well managing stock control effectively if everyone has defected to shop elsewhere because they're getting better bargains!

fruitsaladyummyummy · 23/11/2021 10:37

I literally only go in to buy sweets and occasionally something for dinner and seem to get much better offers than my mum who shops there alllllll the time for clothes and food. I've just had the Percy pig blanket, £4 choc truffles and 25% off all clothing and beauty. Mum had free lens wipes and the Gary Barlow ticket discount 😂! Makes no sense. Oh I've just had a free cuppa and scone added for the cafe too.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/11/2021 10:42

Maybe it's a classic example of regular, loyal customers getting a bad deal (as often seems to be the case!). Or maybe it's totally random!

Wagsandclaws · 23/11/2021 10:53

I spend a fortune on clothes with them, I've never been offered a clothing discount in the two years I've been shopping with them.

Maybe the less you shop the more of an incentive you get offered 🤷‍♀️.

I must admit the amount I've spent with them 20 percent of would be amazing!!

myrtleberry · 23/11/2021 12:07

Got a M&S email yesterday entitled' Revealed: the season's must-have food gift'.
Near the bottom it said 'Sparks Advent Calendar coming soon! With a chance to win tickets to an exclusive, intimate performance with Gary Barlow'.

Anyone else receive this?

TheFlis12345 · 23/11/2021 12:15

I have had a few freebies this year, the best was at Easter when we got a free kg jar of Percy Pigs which were on sale for £15! None in the last couple of months but I got the 20% single use of fashion and beauty last week which saved me about £15.

TellySavalashairbrush · 23/11/2021 12:29

Sainsburys reward card is pretty dire too. Feel like I spent a fortune in there to only get a £2.50 off voucher about once every six months.

Gary Barlow will be doing weekenders at Butlins soon- just a matter of time!

Remember the giddy days when they used to do the Christmas events for cardholders? A free glass of bubbly, a mince pie or two and special discounts/offers?

^No, the John Lewis “loyalty” card is absolutely pointless and worthless.

I have so many freebies and offers with my Sparks d this year

WhatHoMarjorie · 23/11/2021 13:11

It's going to end up with Gary Barlow pitching up in everyone's sitting room to sing Could It Be Magic and to hand us a bag of Percy Pigs.

Heyvedge · 23/11/2021 13:17

I look every week hoping for some proper Sparks offers on food and clothes but have just got the Gary Barlow offer. I haven't had any proper offers for about 3 months at least

ParkheadParadise · 23/11/2021 13:23

😂😂😂 I love Percy Pigs.
ADreadedSunnyDay · 23/11/2021 13:39

its utter shite as a loyalty programme. When it used to be points I shopped there enough to get lots of 20% off deals throughout the year. Now nothing.

Firesidefox · 23/11/2021 13:40

Worst loyalty card ever. I now use it to de-ice my car.

Firesidefox · 23/11/2021 13:43

I also want to know if anyone has ever had their shopping for free?

Almost worth starting another thread to ask in the title. We have an M&S near our work and we all go there nearly every day and no one has ever mentioned getting their shopping free.

It's such an irritating scheme. Boots' is the best by miles, I also like Waitrose.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/11/2021 14:19

Sure someone upthread mentioned that they'd got their shopping free but it's likely really a too-small-a-probability-offer to be bothered, I'd say!

I wonder if the downgrading of the perks of the JL loyalty card has impacted on sales? Yes, people would take advantage of the free coffee/tea/cake offer in droves but I doubt many wouldn't have also bought stuff while in-store.

I went to a 'fashion show' of a new clothing line once. And the Penny sake for their centenary.
