@ilovecherries - it looks great with the dark dress, but as the others have said, less great with the other things. I think if it were me, I would be off to the post office - sorry not to be more helpful!

ilovecherries · 03/11/2021 10:41

Yup, it just doesn’t have the versatility of the dark one. Back it goes. Next! 🤣

@ilovecherries I think the reason it looks less good with the trousers outfit is that you need a plainer backdrop to wear it with as it is quite a statement. So dark trousers and shirt plus jerkin might work better...just a thought.

HappyDays101010 · 03/11/2021 18:06

Does anyone else feel guilty about the amount of stuff they return? I am actually thinking of ordering online because I imagine the (invariuably lovely) women in the shop might have some kind of nickname for me 'Returns Rita' or somesuch. Its not that I buy and return loads and loads, but I do return quite a high proportion of what I do buy, if you see what I mean. I also worry that online stores like Selfridges and John Lewis might keep tabs on me. Probably overthinking it Grin

applecatchers36 · 03/11/2021 18:40

Toast must get it a lot because their sizes are so unpredictable. I usually order two sizes as never know if ordering online. Luckily I can get to a shop if needs must and the trousers are a nightmare. Generally they are super oversized e.g. dresses, jumpers so need to size down but have this tiny nipped in waist that seems strangely 1950's for modern silhouettes

faustina · 04/11/2021 14:31

My eBay cords have arrived and they're perfect! Couldn't be happier with them

Terrible photo - this shows the lovely colour slightly better

Those trousers look fabulous Faustina, what an unusual but winning colour .
I’m awaiting the cord Gabis in navy, not a style I’ve bought before .
Incidentally, I’ve had super quick service from Toast recently, purchases despatched promptly ( not opted for next day delivery), and refunds also very swift .

faustina · 04/11/2021 16:17

Thanks @Gonegrey31 - yes I've also had super quick refunds and delivery recently. I sent some things back the day before yesterday and was refunded this morning!

Hope you like the Gabis when they come!

NoCureForLove · 04/11/2021 18:57

I've got a cord skirt in that colour Faustina - from a few years ago. It's a surprisingly versatile colour. I wear it with grey a lot.

NoCureForLove · 04/11/2021 18:59

I tried on those new cord trousers in store today. They're too tapered for my taste - I've gone all balloon / wide leg and they feel a bit old hat to me. But lovely material and both colours are great.

faustina · 04/11/2021 20:08

@NoCureForLove - I took the chartreuse cords out of the bag and didn't take them off again - I'm so pleased with them! I loved the colours of the new ones too and didn't mind the leg shape - just the high waisted-ness and they were way too small at the waist - even the eight was uncomfortable. I think the ebay seller has the skirt you mention - it is a wonderful colour! She also has the same in ginger

NoCureForLove · 04/11/2021 20:15

Can I ask the seller's name? I'm keen to have a look!

applecatchers36 · 04/11/2021 20:35

Hi Faustina love the colour of those cords. I got the new oil cords you tried they are very highwaisted with such a tiny waist (had to size up) but I like the shape and with a shirt tucked in is a good shape. Think will wear a lot and like the longer leg. These are the cords with a mustard alpaca jumper (not Toast)

Hi everyone, Long time lurker, hoping you can help me with a TOAST related question. I've been dithering over the beautiful donegal knit sweater in smoke but it's now sold out in my size. Do TOAST generally do restocks or is most likely gone once it's sold out on the website. It's my dream jumper I've no idea why I dithered for so long?!!!Confused Thanks

faustina · 04/11/2021 21:29

They look great on you @applecatchers36! (and we were in exactly reverse colours!)

@Swandrake - I would definitely keep an eye out for returns if I were you. I often order two sizes to try, and I bet I'm not the only one. Hope you find the jumper of your dreams!

Love this Fair Isle one ..www.celticandco.com/womens/clothing/knitwear/fairisle-funnel-neck-jumper?issearch=true

And this cable cardigan .. www.celticandco.com/womens/clothing/cardigans/the-shetland-cardigan?issearch=true

Gonegrey31 · 05/11/2021 09:35

I have a Celtic and Co Ltd discount code for 15% off - AW21VA - I hope this works if anyone is tempted.

AmethystMoonShine · 05/11/2021 10:35

Jumper purchased in the summer sale, so glad I kept this. It felt huge and too hot when I tried it on (unsurprisingly Grin) but it’s perfect now for our ancient freezing house.

That's gorgeous Amethyst
I am wearing the Cumin Mira jumper that I bought in the summer sale today over (sorry, not allowed in S&B, I may have to leave !) M&S navy cord leggings (sssh!! I really like these and have several pairs) a longline navy vest top and the blue Toast fine striped tee from this season.. Oh and Toast felt slippers .... Stylish Grin

faustina · 05/11/2021 11:13

@AmethystMoonShine - that is a lovely jumper . I also live in a freezing ancient house and sometimes my fair isle jumper from last year is the only thing that works - it has magic properties!
