I think that’s true *@Stoic123* - I knew it would need to be amazing even to justify the sale price, the original price was an unfathomable £245 😱

I think the price is a reflection of the work that has gone into the fabric, which is absolutely gorgeous. The style is a dud though, which is why I wish they had several shapes they stuck to but in different fabrics. It would be much easier and less frustrating to know that a certain style in a size 10 for example fits and less of a gamble, returns,hassle etc

@TempleofZoom- true, but that would vastly reduce traffic for our merry band.

I think I would miss:

"Has any tried on X? Is it normal size, Toast normal size or Toast oversize? If you can provide your height and indication of curvaceousness- that would be very helpful. Thank you!."

@TempleofZoom the fabric was exactly the reason I bought it - I have another block print summer dress which is gorgeous and I’ve worn to death. This just didn’t work - the pattern is lovely but what didn’t help is the fact that the fabric is quite floaty and so didn’t fall very well, adding to the feeling of being a ship in sail!

My dress arrived and it’s a sale fail - I don’t think it’s very flattering and certainly not worth £145 so back it goes. No sign of the robe either. Well that’s £210 that I’ve avoided spending which is good all things considered!

I think it looks actually nice on you but unless it is dirt cheap, I wouldn't keep unless you are 100% happy with it. My mila arrived. Its fine. Not sure I am in love with it but then I am off sick so maybe its the mood I am in.

@neveradullmoment99 - it’s difficult when you don’t immediately love something because sometimes you row to and others it just doesn’t happen. Sorry you’re not well. The dress is ok from the front, from the back my bum looks like a pumpkin - pretty much never the look I’m going for 😊. It was a very decisive ‘no’!

I am expecting my archive haul (five items) today, including the blue velvet jumpsuit in two sizes. I will report back when they are received and tried on for size and fit!

I actually know exactly what you mean. I have had similar from Toast with a weird bulge there.

Do you all pay for next day? I usually find that it takes 2 or 3 days for delivery.. but then we are (a little) offshore... But saying that we can get next day delivery from other companies

In fact, I ordered the black Annies [ ordinary delivery] and the mila dress which was ordererd in the sale and later came first! Weird!

The MIla came first I mean. The Annie's come tomorrow but ordered at weekend!

My sale jackets came today ( I paid for next day delivery), and two out of the three are keepers - the cropped wool jacket and the cotton linen check easy jacket. I also got the cotton cashmere alix, not sure on those as they are rather tight on my waist. I really need to lose a bit of weight and the trousers are otherwise sooooo good, so I might keep them and make a big effort in the new year. (I know, I know, they’ll be on eBay come March when I realise that is never going to happen!)
I wish I had ordered the alpaca yoke long cardigan, it’s now oos of course. Might keep my eye out for a return.

I may return the mila. I do have two other ones. Its also quite generous. Not ridiculous but ordered the 12 instead of the 10 as things have been a bit neater in the bust but I should have perhaps have got the 10.

What was the cardigan? Was it the cardi coat thing? I was tempted too but thought it may be just too thick and it rains too much here!

That’s the one @neveradullmoment99. There is the rain thing, though I’m in Edinburgh at least rather than west coast.

Well I didn't pay for next day delivery but my coat turned up today! I really love it but there's something odd about the shoulders. Would really appreciate a second opinion. All sold out now but if there's a return do you think it would make a difference to try the next size up? Can you see what I mean about the shoulders? It's such a beautiful fabric

@ScottishMouse - I had those cotton cashmere Alix trousers and they really stretch - you will be fine!

They look like they are slightly puffed i the second picture. They look normal on the first. Looks a perfect fit to me.

The puffed is what I'm worried about - they only look normal if you stand in a particular way

That coat is lovely @faustina. @neveradullmoment99 is right it looks puffed in one picture but not in the other. Did you order your normal size or a Toast size?

I just got my dispatch email for the nightie. I didn’t order until the next morning and don’t expect to have it until Saturday or Monday. I am however away over the weekend (and hopefully going to an actual Toast shop 😊)

it's an 8 and fits perfectly everywhere except the funny shoulders - I'm thinking of trying a 10 if it comes back into stock because it is so lovely

8 is def my usual Toast size

Do they stretch more than the cotton/linen ones @faustina? I really only need the waist to stretch a bit, they are perfect everywhere else.
I really do need to sort my stomach out though. It has been growing slowly for some years now, but a combination of moving less and eating more in lockdown plus perimenopause has really taken its toll. So many lovely things in my wardrobe don’t fit so well anymore and it is just a bit depressing.

Also @faustina, I really like the coat. I don’t think I would have noticed the shoulders if you hadn’t mentioned them. I think the size looks spot on.

@ScottishMouse - yes definitely - that's why I ebayed mine a few months ago!

Thanks @ScottishMouse - it's big everywhere except the shoulders. which is why I worry that a 10 might be too big elsewhere - I will try it again later on - I knew I should have ordered two sizes!!!!
