Reporting in.
I ordered 4 things to try. Sadly they're all going back.
18/xl. 172cm. Very hourglass.
Organic Cotton Cord Tapered Trousers | Oil
These are the smaller waisted variety of trouser, which I often like. The Felix jeans for example are good on me. But these were totally the wrong shape, just bulgy and strange over tummy and hips. Gorgeous fabric, colour. Long enough! If right shape, nice trews.
Fair Isle Shetland Wool Sweater | Fern Green Multi
This was too wide for its length on me. Not so much boxy as rectangular. Also drop sleeves often suit me, but these made me look like a wrestler. I like the fabric and pattern, though.
Alpaca Yoke Sweater | Green Multi
This is the softest, most lightweight adorable knit. Much more true to size than this eu.toa.st/collections/womens-knitwear/products/jacquard-wool-easy-sweater-navy-multi, which comes up long and big, or this eu.toa.st/collections/womens-knitwear/products/stripe-lace-yoke-sweater-green-multi, which comes up small and short. In length it's between the two, nearer the short. However, the pattern band is over the boobies and so exaggerates them, which is the last thing I need. The stripe lace yoke is much more flattering, as well as beautiful. I'm wearing that a lot. Also wearing the jacquard a lot. The alpaca will go back. Oh, also, the bright green is not a good colour for me. I hope they make other jumpers in this wool, because amazing wool.
Cotton Cashmere Dress | Ecru/Black
I initially rather liked this and thought I'd keep it, but the teenager said no and on reflection I agreed with him. It's the same cut as the blue crinkle cotton dress which looks great on me, but somehow it doesn't work so well in this fabric. It's perfectly nice fabric, though as people said rather thin. But somehow uninspiring. And the cut much less flattering in this. And at these prices, clothes do have to sing.
