@ScottishMouse - they look new! I tried the cotton cord tapered trousers in earth - I think that might be the style applecatcher has? Anyway the colour was amazing but the fit on me was ridiculous - very high and uncomfortable waist. I've also more or less given up on fixed waist Toast trousers.

@Laska2Meryls I bought a really lovely hoody from Kin last month in the sale - I'll try to find the link for you

@Laska2Meryls - they have it in black (comes in and out of stock) - it's so comfortable!

I can’t wear fixed waist trousers or skirts from toast. To get them to fasten they are like sails elsewhere. I chose to blame the trousers rather than my post-menopausal waist.

Well, I’m certain they won’t fit, but I ordered the cord version because I was also ordering something else - cotton Gabis in soft black, which reappeared in all sizes today despite all being oos and CS telling me this wasn’t a colour that would be restocked! That’s the second time recently I have been told something isn’t going to be restocked, and then it reappears in all sizes (so not just a random return) within days. I’m not sure they have a clue what is coming into stock.

I’m also interested in the Buffalo Check coat that appeared in the last catalogue they sent out (although kind of hope I hate it because it is ridiculously pricey), and says there it is coming in October. It has never appeared online and my local Toast say they haven’t got it yet, but CS told me it has been and gone, is oos and not coming back. 🤷‍♀️

Boo to post menopausal waists @ilovecherries. I have one of those already and I’m not even post yet. It seems to be getting bigger by the day!

Faustina did you buy the kin hoody in Black or pink ? its nice , but I'mnot sure about the pink ..

@Laska2Meryls - in black! I am not a pink kind of person! they have it in turquoise at full price but I really only like the black one - not there today, but it does come back in stock quite often

@ScottishMouse I have those dart trousers in cotton - in the olive. I like them a lot.

I too have no waist. I have a 10 in the trousers but usually wear a Toast 8. This means that the waist fits well but I think they are a bit big around my bum and thighs.

The reason I like them is the way Toast have positioned the darts. The trousers stay flat across the stomach when you sit down rather than ballooning up and making a difficult stomach situation even worse! Hope that makes sense

Thanks @JustforToast, that’s helpful. I have ordered in an 8 and a 10 (I wear Gabis and Alix in 6 or 8), so we’ll see. I’m not holding out much hope, but worth a try I guess.

Early morning warning that the new (and possibly last ever) Uniqlo/Jil Sander collaboration is now live!

@SmaugMum, thank you, I have had a look but have decided there is nothing i want this year. Last year I bought the longer puffer coat in black and the shorter padded jecket in navy. i have worn the black one loads but the navy one only once so far. I also have a couple of Jill Sander from Uniqlo dresses from previous years so I think I have enough. I was tempted by the navy belt and the grey silk tie bow blouse but I asked myself do I really need them and the answer is no.

I may have ordered the navy Jill Sander down gilet.. even better with £10 new customer discount.. I hope it's not too grunge look for a Toast S&B thread .. or for this woman of a certain age 😂

Hmm. What do you think? Does it make me look vast? It’s a small. It was bought for the (now not going to happen) winter ski holiday in Austria I was daft enough to think was a possibility 6 months ago. So given it’s not going to happen, probably don’t need the apres ski jumper either! Trying to decide whether to return it now.

No it doesn't Cherries its lovely on you .. .. I have that jumper also, its lovely .. and fab for winter weekends here ! but

....but hope that we get some s Apres ski in sometime soon.. Ive never been skiing though.. So, ill just take the Apres!

Thank you both. Having one of those days where I’m convinced I look shit in everything. And so upset about holiday, even though cancelling was the right thing to do I think. At least it only cost us £50 to cancel.

If it's any consolation (and it probably isn't!) - this winter is supposed to be very cold! And what with the massive price rise in heating costs we could all end up wearing ALL the Toast jumpers one on top of the other, roasting turnips on small improvised fires in our gardens. Now I've written it down, that does sound very much like a photo in the Toast catalogue...
