It is really gorgeous on you Toastcosiloveit

What size are you and what did you get? It looks true to size.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/11/2021 18:59

Although no use for work if it has an awkward zip when going to the toilet!

neveradullmoment99 · 13/11/2021 18:59

I actually still have the dark green one with the print from the summer. Still not worn it Blush

neveradullmoment99 · 13/11/2021 19:00

@TempleofZoom

Has anyone seen the Toast Live on the website? Theres a trouser one and a nightwear one. Will watch after Strictly
The one with the trousers was great! Not so fussed for pricey pj's
SmaugMum · 13/11/2021 19:15

@ToastCosILoveIt, genuinely, that jumpsuit looks absolutely lovely on you.

NoCureForLove · 13/11/2021 19:27

Whereabouts on the website is the trouser thing? Thanks in advance!

Asked for my post to be removed - not sure what the etiquette is and just worried it might seem a bit pushy to be ‘selling’ my e bay stuff on here Grin

BigDayToday · 13/11/2021 20:09

Not eBay @Laska2Meryls - I think they were from Depop. Smile

I also got a pair of linen trousers (love them!) and a pair of denim culottes which look amazing but might be a bit too high waisted. I haven't quite decided yet - they're currently in the wash so I'll give them another try but they'll probably be going back up for sale.

I think I'm addicted...

ToastCosILoveIt · 13/11/2021 22:51

@SmaugMum, thank you, it felt so cosy and comfy all day and got a few compliments on it while I was out. Having dithered over it, I would really recommend it. The cut makes you feel good.

Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2021 08:23

Thanks Never ill take a look at that link later.. I am a bit addicted to Toast nightwear !

TempleofZoom · 14/11/2021 08:27

Ive just watched both in bed, drinking coffee Smile
I would have liked a bit more trouser and less jumper, shirt reviews.
Those Alix trousers look lovely on her, just wish they were lined.

Nice though and I loved the nightwear one as I really rate their night wear and I dont mind splashing out as cotton in such beautifulprints is so hard to find.
Im not likely to change sizes so worth it for me and I will treasure them. She did describe the Ukiyo print as their lightest cotton so Im not losing it, after all!Grin
I still think the print is lovely so might go for a dhuggie if they are still around in the spring.
The robe is lined and utterly gorgeous.
Had a quick look on JL and pounced on some
Cotton/Linen Canvas trousers in taupe for £43.50.
Last time I checked there was a raspberry check dress and the brushstrokes dress reduced.

Same here! Worth every penny!
Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2021 14:38

Apparently we are all of a 'certain age and bodyweight' and being duped into liking ugly overpriced clothes according to another MN thread ... Hey Ho.... 🤷‍♀️

Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2021 14:42

Sorry id better quote as actually said : "cult fan base with women of certain age and bodyweight" ...
Im not actually sure what age or bodyweight is meant though I dont think that it was meant to be flattering...

ToastCosILoveIt · 14/11/2021 15:25

Ha, I saw you sticking up for ua Toast fans on that other thread @Laska2Meryls, thank you.

It is amazing how we can all be put into a narrow and confined 'box' purely on the clothes we chose to wear, although this doesn't just happen with Toast wearers.

This thread and the many who regularly contribute to it shows that there are a whole host of ages and 'bodyweight' of wearers that, on the whole, like Toast clothes and products and we celebrate and welcome all of them.

Also, we have enough intelligence and opinion between us to also be able to say what we don't like either in the collection itself, the ethics behind the clothes and products and the whole thorny debate of customer care and appreciation of loyalty.

I really hope these threads continue as they are great fun and a wonderful insight into the clothes, fellow Toast fans and how to wear the clothes in a myriad of ways.

I was slightly bemused by that. Certain age and body weight indeed!

Just peeking in (I'm on the other Toast thread) to see if it had been mentioned.

Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2021 15:55

I think a lot of us here ( not me sadly but I am not that elephantine) are size 8 or less ! I am probably the oldest ..

TempleofZoom · 14/11/2021 16:08

How odd to start a thread about a brand you dont like and to criticize those that do.

Certain age and body weight indeed Hmm
My age, weight and body size are not up for discussion -lovely touch of misogyny, ageism and presumably weight shaming there.

Zeusrules · 14/11/2021 16:59

Just like to add that my bodyweight has fluctuated wildly in the past and I've always loved Toast clothes. Long time lurker here and very grateful for all your wisdom on the sizing.

SmaugMum · 14/11/2021 17:35

I have a child with a severe disability and I tend to find the ‘wokeism’ of society doesn’t really extend here on Mumsnet, sadly. So, because it’s not on now to pick on people on the basis of their ethnicity and/or sex/gender, the bullies tend to congregate where they can take out some low hanging fruit; ie criticise women on the basis of their age or body shape. Seriously, who the crap actually notices how other adults decide to dress themselves? Clothes is clothes; I actually like them but I appreciate that others think they are a waste of money and time but a sheer necessity in order to avoid being arrested.

I do hate the ageism on Mumsnet; as well as the disablist chat that is accepted time and time again, it’s the last bastion of being non PC.

NoCureForLove · 14/11/2021 17:56

Smaug, I don't disagree. Flowers

Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2021 17:59

So agree Smaug .. agesim weightism and sadly still so much disability ( especially that which isnt immediately obvious physically) is up for grabs .. ( along with Mils and mothers of sons!)
I think MN is getting less and less kind to any difference
