Just popped on to say I too got fed up with eBay. I still buy but have had a positive experience so far selling on Vinted. Mostly the buyer purchases the postage and you just print the label. Also no fees, the buyer pays a small fee. Been okay so far for me…..

HappyDays101010 · 08/11/2021 16:21

Suddenly got cold feet as I realised would not be anonymous - not that I post anything super private on here - but still Grin

Thanks to those who recommended the Falke knee high socks the other day. I ordered a pair from Amazon which arrived today and I am planning on trying out tomorrow.

NoCureForLove · 09/11/2021 13:15

I'm wearing mind today. Navy merino knee highs. I LOVE them. So comfy. I'm a complete convert from shorter socks!

ScottishMouse · 09/11/2021 17:29

Yes, I am not a convert too @NoCureForLove. They were great under my black chalkboard dress today. I had a short jacket on, and my thighs were chilly, but if I can find a coat that works well over dresses, I think I will be sorted. Thanks for the recommendation all.

I've never joined Facebook not sure why, I'm on Instagram and Snapchat Grinbut tempted to join just for the TOAST group........

Saurus72 · 09/11/2021 21:25

I’m liking the look of this new dress, think it was added to the site today. Reeeaalllyyy don’t need another dress though www.toa.st/products/luna-print-dress-carbon-black

faustina · 09/11/2021 21:48

@Saurus72 - that's very understated and pretty!

Saurus72 · 09/11/2021 21:52

@faustina it really is! With a pair of black ankle boots that dress could take you anywhere. And weirdly I don’t have many black dresses. Don’t neeeeed one either.

AmethystMoonShine · 10/11/2021 06:58

That’s a lovely dress @Saurus72….. I like that. Not sure on the sleeves though… chilly arms!

I did Mizu but I cant seem to get it to work for me.. because I am really wary of facebook I used another name as dont want people to find me , but I think I may have put so many privacy settings on it that I am only talking to myself!! .. I may give it up and just post here
Laska2Meryls · 10/11/2021 09:17

Saurus I read that as Tuna print!
Was expecting something fishy!
Its nice same shape as the olive one.. but yes short sleeves a bit odd.. would need a layer under

StarShapedWindow · 10/11/2021 12:09

I sympathise with all your eBay woes - I had two items bought both of which were complained about (they were pristine!), eBay demanded I refund they buyers but I never received the items back! I’ve never used them since. I like Vinted because you set the price so no chance of selling a lovely item and getting a pittance.

I’ve bought the Black Denim Pinafore Jumpsuit but I’m struggling with what to wear underneath. It looks dated with a Breton style top, the front is too high for an open necked shirt and I don’t own anything with a pussy bow (as shown in the pic). I’ll be sad to send it back - it’s very flattering.

NoCureForLove · 10/11/2021 13:14

Ooh. Pic please Star?! I like the look of that. Is it your usual Toast size?

Greenfinches · 10/11/2021 13:19

StarShapedWindow, have you thought of a pie crust/frilled collar shirt? Brora do several, including a burgundy plaid one that looks lovely. Or maybe Toast’s cotton wool gingham top which is collarless and has big sleeves

StarShapedWindow · 10/11/2021 14:17

Green finches - thank you, what a good idea! I do have a pie crust collar shirt which I’ve barely worn.

StarShapedWindow · 10/11/2021 14:31

NoCure - sorry I didn’t answer you properly - got distracted by my very greedy dog trying to eat my lunch. It is a generous fit but I bought my usual size 12 because I don’t like tight fitting clothes. It’s flattering because the denim has a slight stretch/give so hangs well and where it stretches from shoulder to just above ankle (I’m quite short) it’s very flattering over the stomach.

NoCureForLove · 10/11/2021 16:44

Thanks Star, very helpful.
The last styling video or somewhere said they were going to do that style in velvet in December. Hmm. Denim or velvet Hmm

ToastCosILoveIt · 10/11/2021 19:28

Now you have all got me reconsidering whether I send the black denim jumpsuit back. I requested the returns form this morning on the basis that i would rather spend the money on something velvet but now I am thinking maybe I should keep it. I don't find the cut particularly generous: I bought the 12 and I am a high street 12 and it certainly isn't loose but, as @StarShapedWindow says, quite flattering. I think I need to try it on again....

StarShapedWindow · 10/11/2021 20:08

Although velvet is lovely, especially for Christmas, I don’t think I would get as much use out of it as the denim. You couldn’t wear the velvet in summer with a tank top underneath and flip flops or sandals, which I plan to do with the denim. However on the other hand you can’t make the denim one particularly glam whereas the velvet would be quite dressy.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 10/11/2021 21:06

The Scallop Ruffle Neck Shirt arrived today, disappointingly the 12 is too big on the shoulders for me and I doubt the 10 would be comfortable across my bust. It’s a shame because, ignoring the shoulders, I did rather like it on - although the collar could have done with a good press.

ilovecherries · 10/11/2021 21:35

Is the denim jumpsuit easy to get in and out of? Some of the reviews say it’s almost impossible.

OP posts:
ToastCosILoveIt · 10/11/2021 22:35

@ilovecherries, I would describe it as awkward to zip up but not impossible.

ToastCosILoveIt · 11/11/2021 10:34

So, I tried the black denim jumpsuit on again and decided to keep it. It's not quite as snug as I remember and it is flattering. I'll post a photo later.
