Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

I think it smells vaguely violet-y! I usually need a very light moisturiser and this felt quite rich, but went on ok. Might use it at night.

NumaNumaYay · 03/12/2021 11:28

It's supposed to be a day cream. M&S website says:

The precious day cream is infused with hyaluronic acid complex boosting the skin's power to naturally renew itself and Corsican immortelle essential oil to combat skin oxidation and tackle daily aggressors. Skin is left with a youthful glow, fine lines and wrinkles are reduced and pores tightened.

How to Use: Massage into cleansed skin, avoiding the delicate eye area
1. Massage with the flat part of your fingers using sliding upward movements.
Work outwards from the nose and over the cheeks, from the forehead to the temples and over the neck
2. Use patting motions with the tips of your fingers over face and neck, to boost microcirculation and firmness

Thanks Numa - I will look 21 again by the sounds of it😁

NumaNumaYay · 03/12/2021 11:31

Haha well it does say 'immortelle' so I assume it's like the serum in Death Becomes Her?

Bavarois · 03/12/2021 11:32

@EachandEveryone Im a nurse and get up at 530 so it cheers me up to open something. I bet lots of us have toget up before 730 am I dont see what the problem is?

Tbf nobody's asking/telling you not to open it at whatever time you fancy, just not to post spoilers (which you didn't, a vague post is no problem). I do think it's useful to have an agreed earliest post time to mention the product so people know to avoid the thread before then if they haven't opened. It's 7am on the other threads I'm following so PP's suggestion doesn't seem unreasonable.

Today's product looks lovely but I'm not excited by it. Day 1 spoilt me tbh!

mynameiscalypso · 03/12/2021 11:34

I think this is a super useful size for travel (not that I'm doing any of that soon) so might save it. I've always struggled with moisturisers because no matter what I try, they never seem to be as good as my regular old Aveeno. Always open to something that will make me look 'immortelle' though!

woodhill · 03/12/2021 11:34

I'll get the paint spray can out lol
IloveJudgeJudy · 03/12/2021 12:16

@Orcadianrythyms I, too, must try and use the things as I open them. I'm dreadful for keeping things for best and also for keeping the last bit so as not to use it up.

The S&B people are helping me keep on the straight and narrow, so thank you, all 😊.

Back to today's gift I usually think of l'Occitane skin stuff as very expensive but perhaps now I'm older I'll view it differently. Smile

Please let’s be nice to each other, positive vibes only!!!!!

CountryCob · 03/12/2021 12:20

There seriously is enough stress flying around already

simpledeer · 03/12/2021 12:20

Good quality product. It seems like it's quite rich and a PP mentioned piling so I will use at night.

AnnieSnap · 03/12/2021 12:28

@LivingDeadGirlUK

I know you can't get huge pots of everything but I do wonder with something this size if its even big enough to get an idea of how well it works.
I’ve a couple of sample this size in the Immortelle Divine cream (the one in the yellow tub). That one is gorgeous and very rich, so it lasts quite a while. Definitely long enough to learn that it’s great and I’d definitely buy it if it wasn’t £80 a go, when my lovely REN moisturiser does a really good job at a fraction of the price. I’m very pleased to be able to try this one though.
RampantIvy · 03/12/2021 12:30

I won't open anything until what I am currently using runs out. They start to go off if they have been open a long time. I already have the Calm liquid soap, hand cream and candle as they were a birthday present.

I will probably use the shower gel as bubble bath as well @Orcadianrythyms.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 03/12/2021 12:51

@AnnieSnap that's good to know, I'll use sparingly and see how I get on then.

TokyoSushi · 03/12/2021 12:54

I'm doing 'use it on the day you get it' too - I'm really enjoying it!

I'm going with use as I finish other stuff. I only recently opened an elemis balm so it will be a while before I get on to the one from day 1.

Yes I'm the same, have stuff to use up
DrRamsesEmerson · 03/12/2021 14:40

I've got stuff to use from the M&S summer beauty box, so won't be opening much from the calendar in December.

Helpstopthepain · 03/12/2021 15:03

I loved the summer box and went on to buy most of the products when I ran out! It was my first one and is what attracted me to the calendar.
woodhill · 03/12/2021 15:04

Summer box was excellent. I'm using the Emma Hardie primer which is very good

DrRamsesEmerson · 03/12/2021 15:05

Yes, agree the Emma Hardie primer is excellent, I've nearly finished it and will buy more when it runs out.

woodhill · 03/12/2021 15:08

The fact is has spf is a real bonus.

3 minute mask is good as well

Helpstopthepain · 03/12/2021 15:14

I’m on my 2nd bottle of the EH protect and prime Blush

If I was using that and today’s cream which way would I use them? L’occitane first and then protect and prime?

Nuffaluff · 03/12/2021 16:02

I’m using everything as soon as I get it too. It’s more fun for me.
I love the Emma Hardie cleanser. That’s my favourite so far and I’m tempted to buy it in the future. I really loved the smell.
The face cream from today feels luxurious and my skin still feels soft eight hours later. Probably too expensive for me to buy though.

AnnieSnap · 03/12/2021 18:11

@Helpstopthepain yes, you would use the moisturiser first, followed by the primer.
