Is available on Thursday in store and online apparently.

OP posts:
GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 02/12/2021 07:50

Tried the balm last night and liked it, it felt good on my skin and did a reasonable job of getting my make up off (I tend to use tubing mascara and gel eye liner, so they can be a bit stubborn).

Not terribly fussed by shower gel though. Normally I'd put it away for travelling - but god knows when we'll get to do that again!

Countmeout · 02/12/2021 07:54

I like the smell of this. I already have the soap and hand cream although a slightly different scent. I like the brown bottles.

mynameiscalypso · 02/12/2021 07:55

I feel like shower gel is always one of those filler items that you get and shrug about. That's not a complaint by the way, it's part of what makes the process so fun! This will get used for sure.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 02/12/2021 08:03

I like the shower gel I think I've been looking at the bigger version in store. I like the scent but as a pp said Joss sticks and hippies are right up my street 😁 I'm wondering if it might work as bubble bath it smells quite a cosy scent to me so might try it in a winter's bath one night

Helpstopthepain · 02/12/2021 08:06

I love the smell although I do love an unwashed hippy Grin I’ll use it later.

I fell asleep with the Moringa on last night and have beautiful feeling skin today. Bad night but at least my skin feels lovely.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 02/12/2021 08:06

I'm not sure about the scent but it will certainly get used.

Helpstopthepain · 02/12/2021 08:07

@mynameiscalypso I agree

FreshFaceTime · 02/12/2021 08:08

Love the herbally smell of the shower gel but will save for an evening or weekend shower where I have more than 2 mins to enjoy it!

Switch82 · 02/12/2021 08:30

I have the full size version of this shower gel and love it

HollyHocks13 · 02/12/2021 08:55

This does smell nice but I prefer soap to shower gel so am a bit meh on this one!

Ringsender2 · 02/12/2021 09:02

I bought one of these for myself, although my "what's your is mine" teen DD has muscled her way in Grin

Question about day 1: can it be left on the face overnight? What do you then do in the morning, just remove with wet cloth? How much to put on? Does it go all over your pillows?

NumaNumaYay · 02/12/2021 09:11

Nooo I wouldn't leave a cleansing balm on the face overnight!

OchonAgusOchonOh · 02/12/2021 09:14

I'm a bit meh about body wash. I prefer bar soap but it will get used.

rosegoldwatcher · 02/12/2021 09:25

My post-menopausal skin has very dry/sensitive patches so I was a bit worried about using the cleansing balm. Even though I had no make-up to remove I used it and washed it off in the shower before bed.
No adverse reaction and it seems to have calmed the dry patches.

The shower gel smells lovely. Will save it for a weekend away.

This is my first ever beauty advent calendar; great fun!

AmethystMoonShine · 02/12/2021 09:48

Found you all! I’m a couple of days late Blush I enjoy the annual M and S beauty advent thread and missed it last year. I like the moringa balm as I’ve had tiny pots before in calendars or beauty boxes and this is a generous size. I haven’t opened box 2 yet but gather it’s a shower gel. I love these as I save the small ones up for when we go away in our caravan.

Purpleblondelady · 02/12/2021 11:01

I'm not a fan of the smell of the shower gel either so I'm a bit disappointed, but I'll use it anyway. It smells a bit like Sanctuary products, I got a giftset last Christmas and I'm still trying to use it up now

Cheesymonster · 02/12/2021 11:35

Joining late as covid has knocked me so hard I couldn’t muster the energy to open yesterday’s! Am impressed so far. The EH cleanser is lovely, I once tried the teeniest sample of it from few unique, like 2ml, and I loved it. The shower gel I also loved using this morning. I may use the rest as a bubble bath as I usually use dove soap bar in the shower.

IloveJudgeJudy · 02/12/2021 11:50

I used the EH balm yesterday evening with a Liz Earle cleansing cloth. It worked well for me.

I like the smell of the shower gel and will be using it when I've used up the current one.

Decaffe · 02/12/2021 12:51

@latedecember1963

I used to love Liz Earl hot cloth cleanser but haven't used it much in the last couple of years because it seems to have become drying on my already dry skin. The EH cleansing balm is much more soothing and I find rinses off easier.

I like herby scents so I'm happy with today's offering. The value is 96p so a cumulative total of £15.96 so far.
I'm really not bothered about the actual value and I'm certainly not worried about whether or not it all comes to £300. I enjoy being part of a thread that brightens up dark December mornings.

I find it interesting to see how much the items are worth, thanks for working out the price per ml. Flowers

Surprised that today's one is 'only' 96p - I think it looks/smells rather luxe!

Looking forward to using both of them later on today Smile

AnnieSnap · 02/12/2021 12:59

I never buy shower gels and like @Talisin if I end up with any, they just kick about in the bathroom gathering dust. This is because I have baths, rather than showers at home and I have a sensitive vulva, so can’t get soaps in the water. I shower at the gym, but I’ve stopped taking my own stuff there, as I inevitably leave it behind and the stuff there is fine. Since I’ve got this now though, I’ll take it and try not to leave it behind. I won’t count it in my value from the calendar though.

TokyoSushi · 02/12/2021 14:36

I'm a bit meh about the shower gel, it's ok. BUT, I'm still so delighted with the balm from yesterday that overall I'm very happy!

Anjelika · 02/12/2021 14:54

I can't smell today's shower gel so think I need to do a Covid test maybe!! Will be OK for going away or if I run out of normal shower gel.

NumaNumaYay · 02/12/2021 15:53

I like the shower gel! I usually just buy the same old thing every time. This smells stronger when you use it, I think.
Happy so far!

SnottyLottie · 02/12/2021 16:16

I really like the scent but will have to see how it transfers in the shower.

DH said he loves the Christmas period as we always end up with loads of shower gel and don’t have to buy any until March of the next year 😆

SomethingAboutNothing · 02/12/2021 16:47

I like the smell of the shower gel, will be perfect to use in the morning when I get home from my night shift.
