My first quarterly box arrived today. It's £20 a month which is then "banked" so you can spend that on Liberty beauty making the box free. Free P&P on your purchases too.

@Housewife2010 thank you for that, I didn't realise you could do that.

I'm delighted with this box.
Been wanting to try the REN tonic for a while.

This is the second box I've had and I'm enjoying the beauty drop scheme.
It makes sense for me as my DP wears aventus by creed so I'm basically saving up for his Christmas present, which I'll buy when the pre-christmas beauty gift with purchase is on.

Anyone know when that is by the way?

September. I had it for a few years but ended up with enough Liberty make up bags to stock a shop and a lot of products I’d never use.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 15:57

I'm interested to see what the September GWP deal is. I may have spent my credit recently 😆but might try and refrain in future if it seems like a good deal. I like a change in make up bag every so often, but when I ended up with a few, and also quite a few hotel shampoos etc, I made up kits for the local Refuge with first night stuff...shower gel, shampoo, small toothpaste and brush, etc. Women end up with there in the clothes they walked out in too often, and I thought if they could have a make up bag to keep, it was a very small gesture, but.... Sometimes when Aveda have sold off trial sizes I've bought them, to add a small luxury product. Just a thought if anyone was stockpiling stuff, and not likely to use.

MovinOnUp · 20/07/2022 16:04

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants that's a bloody good idea.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 16:09

Thanks @MovinOnUp Makes me feel better about the hotel toiletries that I feel obliged to take as I've paid for them 😂

Blossomtoes · 20/07/2022 16:12

That’s such a good idea @SpongeBobJudgeyPants. I shall steal it.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 16:40

Good @Blossomtoes Would be a good kind act. I think I could probably donate some handbags too, based on the idea that if you have a make up bag, and a handbag, you might feel like you had a couple of creature comforts at a horrible time. Would also use some M & S advent calendar stuff, as I'm bound to get some make up that I won't use.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 16:46

Nearer Christmas, which is when I usually do it, I'm happy to post another thread. If anyone wants/trusts me to take them all to my local Refuge (I've got contact details for them as I used to work there). Got a long posting history. Will stop derailing now.

Back on point, I used the eye mask the other night. No, not the heated one! I can't say I felt much different, but may just be me.

Blossomtoes · 20/07/2022 16:47

Yes please. 😊

Pruella · 20/07/2022 16:55

I’d certainly like to donate what a great idea, I have loads of stuff I’ll never use. We get lots of stuff at work actually (press) that I might be able to donate too.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 20/07/2022 07:51

I’m pretty happy too, when we did the what would you like to see questionnaire I said masks so delighted with two. Sad about the ren as I use tret so won’t use this but can see how it would be great for others and I can always use on my body.

incidentally I ignored those sleep drops from the last box as I’ve used cbd with no effect before, but tried these in the heat. Loved them, maybe not enough to repurchase at that price but they certainly helped me drop off in the heat.

How come we can’t use the REN tonic if we use tret?

Martinisarebetterdirty · 20/07/2022 18:42

I thought it was either acids or tret or you risk damaging the skin barrier? As both exfoliate? I’m not an expert by any means though!

You can use both, but separately and I wouldn't if you're new to tret
I use AHA/BHA on the nights I'm not using tret

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 18:49

Ok peeps, I'll start end of November, as the advent crushing disapointment starts. We've all had it. I'm really not a black eyeliner type of woman I might be, if I were 20 yrs younger 😀

I haven't tried the toning stuff yet, I must admit, I was a bit twitchy as I have retinol in my facials.

LunchPoems · 20/07/2022 21:38

Im not keen on masks and eye masks, as I’m always either up and have makeup on, or going to bed. There’s never a window where it’s good!

the hair milk is, however, shaping up well. No frizz ponytail tonight!

BakeOffRewatch · 20/07/2022 22:14

Just been united with my box. As a first timer, I really like it. Not stuff I would pick, but will be used, upgrades of stuff I have already that I use daily like L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil and my Nip&Fab Glycolic Acid Toner. I was hoping for a perfume, because I love new scents, and to try a fancy SPF, as I’ve always gone for Boots brands for SPF (using Revolution SPF 30, bargain at £10 so I apply liberally and doesn’t sting eyes) and have no idea what to try that is more upmarket and worth it. I love De Mamiel Hydrating Nectar SPF30 but that’s £85 for 50ml - heavenly scent, loved using it and always got a compliment from my husband but unjustifiable really since having baby. Shame Liberty don’t stock De Mamiel, my beauty credit would go straight on that!

Thanks for everyone posting on this thread, your posts about reselling and swapsies made me go for it, as didn’t sound like a waste. I wouldn’t have gone for something that was just minis.

Don’t understand why they put a self-heating mask in a summer box! I’ll probably store that away and forget about it.

Giftwithpurchase · 21/07/2022 09:51

Just received my box and I'm disappointed - I'm so fed up of the Ren tonic - I expect Liberty to provide new and exciting products and this has been doing the round what what feels like years! I don't get on with it so will either decant into a spray bottle for my body or stick it on Vinted. Also why oh why the masks? Not summer focused at all - could have put in an spf I agree @BakeOffRewatch and maybe a light summer perfume. Just found it a bit dull - all things Ive had loads before. Also don't rate Sarah Chapman and dislike single use.
All that being said I appreciate it's effectively something for nothing and I am a real old beauty junkie so am a bit jaded 😆

HundredMilesAnHour · 21/07/2022 10:27

Must admit that I'm also a bit jaded with the Ren tonic. It clearly hasn't been selling as lots of sites have marked it as 50% off and it always seems to come in GWP deals. It's nice to get something for 'free' still but one of the reasons why I like Liberty usually is that they introduce me to brands I can't get easily elsewhere and/or may not have tried (which usually ends up in a new expensive habit lol).

supadupapupascupa · 21/07/2022 10:55

I love the REN tonic, very pleased to receive it as I've run out even though I've lots of others in my stash.
I tried both eye masks before. The SC one I said was lovely to use but didn't do anything so wouldn't RP. Happy to use it though for a treat. The space mask I have down as an RP so very pleased with that.
The hair stuff happy to try but I have weird hair so not sure....
The body wash OH MY WORD that is righty o my street scent wise. I could cover my house in it! VERY happy and a very probable repurchase!

Hopeislost · 21/07/2022 11:13

I changed my address weeks ago (and have an email from Beauty Drop confirming this) but they've still sent it to my old address. Has anyone successfully had a replacement box?

Martinisarebetterdirty · 21/07/2022 12:47

@Hopeislost they will send you a new one if you get on to customer services, mine was delayed last time and they were happy to send out a replacement.

Isabelle70 · 21/07/2022 13:27

Mine has arrived :) I also received an email from Liberty yesterday with what was in the box so quick deletion before reading. I am going to go through all the lotions and potions I have stashed and make up a week long pamper session for when I go away. If not I have all good intentions and never get round to using…
I used to use the REN but stopped when I started rosacea Dermatica treatment but will see if I can incorporate it in my morning routine.

supadupapupascupa · 22/07/2022 08:37

BIG NEWS! GWP are out!!!!!
