OK
Aveda Moisturising Lotion (green bottle)

scent 10/10
moisturisingness 10/10 I have really dry skin and ti is perfect but light
absorption 9/10 needs a second rub-in
value for money 7/10 it's £27 for a biggish bottle, lasts about 4.5 months - weight for weight it costs the same as many sold in Boots

I love it

5GoldenFIMBOs · 04/12/2007 17:13

Johnson & Johnston 24 hour moisture body cream.

Tis fab in all catagories

ahundredtimes · 04/12/2007 17:14

Is this face moisturiser? I thought we did this before? [yawns]

cornsilk · 04/12/2007 17:15

Elemis pro collagen marine cream is the best I have ever used. Can't afford it at the moment due to Xmas and all but I covet it.

LoveAngelGabriel · 04/12/2007 17:19

Loreal Revitalift - under a tenner (and on 'This Morning' a while ago a scientist came on to assess the claims of various moisturisers and concluded that this one and one by RoC were the only ones that actually lived up to their claims to 'reduce the appearance of fine lines' ...and they were up against all kinds of expensive ones, including that ridiculous Creme De la Mer one)..

anyway...waffle over..

scent - 6/10 not offensive but not particularly lush
moisturising - 9/10
absorption 8/10
value for money 9/10

Swore I'd never get involved in this triviality, cod

Tamum · 04/12/2007 17:22

Oh go on then.

Creme de la Mer
scent 0/10
moisturising ness (? and do you really want this out of 20?) 16/20
absorption 2/10
value for money 0/10 (unless you have really sore dry skin like under your nose when you have a cold in which case it's a miracle worker)

kittylouise · 04/12/2007 17:25

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Cost - god only knows because thieved borrowed it from mum.

scent 7/10 - nowt special
moisturising ness 18/20 - very very good
absorption 9/10 - easy and leaves a dewy glow (woo hoo)
value for money 7/10 - that's a wild stab in the dark ,but is Estee Lauder so not cheap is it. Worth it though. 41/50

AMerryScot · 04/12/2007 17:26

Scent 9/10 - doesn't smell synthetic
Moisturisingness 18/20 - skin feels soft without being greasy.
Absorption 10/10 - no horrid residue and sinks in straight away.
Value for money 10/10 - £14.25 and lasts for ages as it's a pump dispenser.

southeastastra · 04/12/2007 17:34

olay regenerist

pong quite nice 9/10
moisturising oh yes 9/10
absorption 8/10 (takes a few mins even on my hide)

vfm 9/10

(better than the boots serum thing imo and can use all over instead of just selecting oldest bits of craggy skin to save £)

janeite · 04/12/2007 18:08

Also Olay regenerist

scent 7/10 a bit too liquoricey for me

moisturising ness 18/20 it's good and it's easy to monitor where you put it and how much eg: more on neck, less on greasy conk

absorption 9/10 very good

value for money 9/10 can be found on special offer most of the time

The serum that goes with it (extra dosh) is brilliant and they also do a night serum but I don't like the smell or the spooky blue colour - feels great though.

fullmoonfiend · 04/12/2007 18:21

do you know, I have gone back to the old classic Ulay (olay whatever) classic beauty fluid. It is inexpensive, (10) smells nice,(8) absorbed straight away (10) and my skin looks great.(20) AND FEELS SOFT (20)

bACK TO BASICS.....

santascRUMPELedsuit · 04/12/2007 18:26
