Classy but understated bag brands?

Just this- don't want to have a flashy bag like a Mulberry for which I'll be judged, but would instead love a high quality bag brand without the show-offy 'look at how much money I've spent' logo. It's just not me. Any suggestions?

I have several Coccinelle (Italian for ladybird) bags. The leather is so supple and such high quality it makes me salivate thinking of it.

I also bought an Elvis and Kresse bag on the strength of this thread. I love it and I can't stop sniffing it.

I second Campomaggi . I love them. They even smell good.

@GreenVaseline that's the one I was looking at! Can you post some pictures of the inside and big it is to hold? It's gorgeous!

Coach or Longchamp but the latter is so expensive.

It was quite hard to take a picture of the inside as it doesn't really open out widely, but this might help. It's lined with a goldy-coloured parachute silk fabric and has one pocket inside. Also, it came with a shoulder strap that you can attach and a dust bag made out of the same silk fabric.

I didn't want to be in a pic so I haven't taken one of me holding it. But it's a small bag (I am a 5ft nothing person so it probably would look misleadingly large in a pic anyway.)

But I am sorry to tell you... I might just have got the last one!

@GreenVaseline It is gorgeous!!! I should contact Elvis and Kresse for a discount now some of you are making purchases!!! (I won't because they are a small company) if the bag you want isn't there then email them and they will often make it for you! They make the popular ones but also make ones with a mix of finishes and materials.

I just went back on the Elvis and Kresse website and they seem to have restocked everything. So now of course I want an overnight bag...

I love your pink bag Green. I also have the Elvis & Kresse small postbag (red fireholse, dark brown leather). I'm so glad to see these getting some appreciation on the S&B board. I've just looked at the website too....

Aspinal for the understated look. Also take a look at Polene, I have quite a few of both.

I have also some Chanel and Dior and the quality is definitely comparable.

Sostter are new find for me and i love their bags. They are little bit different and affordable. I found them in www.sostter.com and www.wolfandbadger.com Hope this helps.

I love both Gucci and Louis Vuitton and have both brands. That are my favorite bags.
