Classy but understated bag brands?

Just this- don't want to have a flashy bag like a Mulberry for which I'll be judged, but would instead love a high quality bag brand without the show-offy 'look at how much money I've spent' logo. It's just not me. Any suggestions?

I’m surprised people have mentioned coach - in my mind they are the epitome of branded “look at me” ubiquitous high street.

You've been looking at the wrong ones. Their leather bags are gorgeous and you would never know the brand. This is my favourite bag.

Valextra ,Coach,Anya Hindmarch (the more "sober" styles).

I bought a mini berry bag after a similar thread, I love it - so well made and a classic shape, and I think a really reasonable price.

I’m after:

The maxi Los Angeles in shearling

The mini Florence in pleated leather either off white or gold.

And the Santa Monica, cannot decide on a colour!

So that would be 3 bags for around £1200. Have you seen something you like on there?

I’ve got a few Coach bags and none of them have giant C clasps! They just have Coach on them in discreet gold lettering or embossed in the leather.

Same as mine.I don't like the styles with the big C.

We hosted an Italian student for a month who came on a school exchange, and she arrived with exquisite presents for each of the family members. DD and I were given bags from Yuri, a brand I had never heard of, www.yurishop.it/en/ amazing leather, beautifully made.

I know you are looking at something higher end, but I felt I had to share!

I love it, I want to get a purse to go with it now - maybe in the yellow fire hose as a contrast? It's so nice to have something that's great quality, different from the norm AND sustainable and ethical
