Classy but understated bag brands?

Just this- don't want to have a flashy bag like a Mulberry for which I'll be judged, but would instead love a high quality bag brand without the show-offy 'look at how much money I've spent' logo. It's just not me. Any suggestions?

Mulberry is many things but it's not flashy.

Just my opinion! I feel like a lot of people buy their bags for the brand personally as well as the 'status' that comes with it, but I could be wrong!

I like coach. I think it's definitely more understated than mulberry. For a start off it's less than half the price!

I also like aspinall.

Mulberry is very recognisable even if it’s not everyone’s definition of flashy.

OP I had a beautiful bespoke bag made by Massaccesi in Italy, you can’t get more understated imo

I’m surprised people have mentioned coach - in my mind they are the epitome of branded “look at me” ubiquitous high street.

I so agree with this. The giant 'C' clasps - I think they're really tacky.

The Leather Satchel Co are excellent. I've had a few bags from there. Made by hand in England, proper craftsmanship. Also silver hardware which personally I much prefer to gold. Amazing value compared to some of the designer stuff churned out in China for five or ten times the price.

I’ve got a few Coach bags and none of them have giant C clasps! They just have Coach on them in discreet gold lettering or embossed in the leather.

I bought 2 lovely ones from all saints. Really good quality and design, not too over the top and not everyone has one. Great value in the sale I got 2 for the price of a small high end brand one.

I don’t know if Skagen is still doing bags but I have a couple and you should check out the Skagen Anesa - very simple and understated, but beautifully made.

Coach bags aren't all flashy - mine is lovely. The sales are great as well OP

Tusting. I had loads of compliments and nobody knew what it was, just a v stylish well made bag, not a brand.
