I am going on beauty-buy-blow-out at end of week. Will add the best of these to my haul.

Olivia - you may not have inherited the cheekbones but you did get the longest legs. Not a bad consolation...! Also you only look about 20.

TheAnticodCod · 28/11/2007 09:20

ok I have tested
Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner

value ofr money 9/10 £4.99 not bad but unsure how long this will last
swooshability(application) 9/10 first attempt was pretty good although I did mini strokes. The brush is thicker than standard eyeliners hence the term "exaggerate"
finish8/10 I rubbed it in a bit as I found it looked a bit hard and cheap otherwise
durability7/10 have only had it on 30mins but seems set
range of colours4/10 only absolute brown and black. The brwon is really nice though.

So total 37/50 not bad .

also bought rimmel lash maxxx which has great comb applicator instead of brush, very good.

santascRUMPELedsuit · 28/11/2007 10:35

Never apply to bottom lid - looks HARD!
The make-up artist was applying it in small strokes as applying it on someone else is totally different from applying it on yourself. It is much easier to apply in sweeping motions on yourself.

orangina · 28/11/2007 11:00

Oooh, here's a great link for applying liquid eyeliner if you have shakey hands (for all us old gits out there....)

here

brimfull · 28/11/2007 11:01

i only applied to top lids

JeremyVile · 28/11/2007 11:06

Why aren't we doing glittery?
I want to know about ggirls Urban Decay glittery liner.......

Just whisper it to me, GG, which shade have you got and is it worth it? (the fishy one wont hear...)

L'oreal superliner £5.99 36/10

value for money 7/10
swooshability(application)7/10 good wand design- you can "dip" the liner to get more liquid if nec
finish 8/10
durability 8/10 usually lasts all night
range of colours 6/10 (why do you need any other colour except black?!)

Bourjois Liner Feutre 29/50
£5.95

value for money 7/10
swooshability(application) 4/10 more like a pen than a liner
finish 6/10
durability 6/10 (meant to be v long lasting)
range of colours 6/10 (why do you need any other colour except black?!)

Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner RRP £3.99
34/50

value for money 9/10
swooshability(application) 7/10 - very inky but could have high smudge factor
finish 5/10
durability 5/10
range of colours 8/10 - comes in brown as well

GGirl I have the Urban Decay, in silver, pink and gold.
Gold is definitely best but the sparkle does go astray so by the end of the evening, you do look a bit like you've been
(a) at a Spice Girls concert
(b)on a hen night
(c)overzealously crafting with glitter

TheAnticodCod · 28/11/2007 12:30

Olivia - i have the urban decay pink /dark grey and silver
i mixed them allowing them to dry well between coats
not one bit went astray and by the end of a long party it looked fresh...loved the mix but esp the pink

the girl who sold me it told me that the Urban decay is the best for not shifting

TheAnticodCod · 28/11/2007 13:40
