lolol. Poor Foxy! I'd have done exactly the same as you if I'd even risked trying it, which I haven't.

southeastastra · 27/11/2007 19:49

just a small thin line will make a difference but not look too obvious

MrsJohnCusack · 27/11/2007 19:49

Chanel don't seem to do the brush/wand one I have any more

only the pen ones

foxinsocks · 27/11/2007 19:50

It made me feel ANCIENT trying to put it on. I then decided it was the sort of thing that you could manage if you were 20 and still had patience for make-up but once you were err older, had no patience for it and let's face it, had to make the best out of what you had left, that it was OK to be defeated by it .

brimfull · 27/11/2007 19:50

olivia

foxinsocks · 27/11/2007 19:51

lololol

that's it. I'm giving up ENTIRELY. I am officially an OLD GIT.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 19:52

How does the woman on the video NOT managed to make it look feathery doing it like that - unless I go for one quick, long swoop it all goes tits up.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 19:53

Ooooooooooh pretty!

morningpaper · 27/11/2007 19:55

yes woman on video

If I don't do it in one SWOOP then it is all wonky

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 19:56

I love your sister's dress

brimfull · 27/11/2007 19:57

see onthat video she doesn't swoosh she does mini strokes

ahundredtimes · 27/11/2007 19:57

Don't give up Foxy, now you know where to put it on. You can try again.

I'm going to get a green one, perhaps glittery. I feel quite excited by it. I might look in Mac because I'm going there tomorrow to get something for erm someone else. [stares hard]

Your mum is rather glam isn't she Olivia? How intimidating. You all look good. I need a close up of your eye make-up though.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 19:57

About to get in a bath... will play at feathery before I get in

southeastastra · 27/11/2007 20:01

the more you do it the better you get. wipe the brush on the back of your hand if it's too loaded and start with a small amount.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 20:02

Right - tried both methods with Avon Perfect Wear Eyewriter...

Feathery did work much better (I do now look a bit like that from where the swoop went awry)

value ofr money 9/10 - tis cheap, tis avon
swooshability(application)6/10 - felt tippish and not very pliant
finish 8/10
durability 8/10
range of colours erm/10 - they have a few different ones, I tend not to buy much though so I wouldn't know a good range from a bad one

TheAnticodCod · 27/11/2007 20:07

on the back of my hand in boots this avvy the brsuh ones gave a too thin
" hard girl ont he bus " look I didnae like

blushblushthank you you are all kind.
MP I am so not going to end up looking like that, have my dad's propensity to chubby cheeks. I remember a conversation with my granny when I was about 6.
6y/o Olivia: Granny, will I ever be as beautiful as Mummy.
Granny: No darling, you haven't the cheekbones.
But she was right.

Anyway, back to eyeliner. Mine is L'oreal I think but I can't rate swooshability as I never try to swoosh it.
I will try and read the name properly in a min and rate it.

morningpaper · 27/11/2007 20:11

tee hee @ your gran!

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 20:24

aaaaaaaaaaaaw

TigerFeet · 27/11/2007 20:41

OK have used liquid eyeliner twice in my life...

  1. aged 17 during misguided goth phase.
  1. four weeks ago to paint spiders on dd's face, hands and arms for Halloween

I can thoroughly recommend Asda Smartprice Liquid Eyeliner for no. 2. Swooshability not an issue.

Link to Olivia's photoshoot please - I look like my Mum but she has perfect skin whereas mine is, and always has been, horrible like my Dad's.

foxinsocks · 27/11/2007 21:03

olivia - did you get to keep the dresses?

lol at your whirl of formal parties

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2007 21:09

If you don;t come to the xmas do in it I wll be most upset
