Will report later.

It will take me some time to decide which one to score as I have an out of control body lotion habit.

Can't believe you are a nivea girl Cod. I thought with your faultless taste in all things cosmetic you'd be a Sanctuary or Origins kinds gal!

Marc Jacobs perfume body lotion 30/40

packaging 2/10 bottle looks lovely but crap pump dispenser and deceptively large bottle for small amount.
scent 10/10 lasts really well and smell delicious
rubinability 10/10 goes in really nicely and has v gently glowing glitter in it so you look radiant when wearing
moisturising-ness 8/10 - does a good job of where I apply it but don't use everywhere - only arms and decolletage
It's too pricy to use on thighs!

Oh god, I can't wait ...

Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream here

Packaging 8/10 - Looks simple and classy
Scent 7/10 - Nothing strong or overpowering, just fresh.
Rub In Ability 8/10 - Not a lot needed so rubs in well if you don't over apply.
Moisturising 9/10 - doesn't leave any residue, but skin feels silky smooth.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/11/2007 11:01

Oops, that makes a score of 32/40.

McDreamy · 22/11/2007 11:07

Clinique Moisture Lock Body Formula

packaging 8/10 simple, light, sturdy
scent 8/10 not too perfumed
rub in ability - 9/10 excellent
9/10 love it, really works

over all score = 34/40

OliviaMumsnet · 22/11/2007 11:07

Should smelling like your mum really merit 10/10?!

The Sanctuary Mande Lular

packaging 8/10 sturdy, simple
scent 5/10 very strong, a bit too overpowering for me
rub-in -ability - 6/10 I find it a bit greasy
moisturising-ness 7/10 reasonable despite greasy feeling it does absorb nicely and leaves skin smmooth.

Total score 26/40

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/11/2007 11:22

Vaseline Intensive Care (yes, really)

Packaging 2/10 Looks like throwback to seventies in an 'unchanged since then' kind of a way
Scent 8/10 Light and subtle, but nice
Rubinability 10/10 Absorbs beautifully
Moisturisingness 10/10 Couldn't fault it. As good, or better, than fancy schmansy creams I have tried and discarded.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/11/2007 11:22

Sorry, forgeot to add : 30/40

Yes to Vaseline Intensive Care (unscented, mind, the others are horrid)

packaging 3/10 - no good and you can't get the last bits out of the bottle
scent 5/10 - not scented but I don't want anything to interfere with my perfume
rub- in- ability 9/10 - great
moisturising- ness 10/10 - the best

Total 27/40 but Cod I think your scoring system is unhelpful. It's the last category that counts most and it should be weighted accordingly - say out of 20.

Body Shop Mango Butter

packaging: bottle take less space, but it's fine - 8/10
scent: yummy!- 9/10
rub in-ability: a bit thick... 6/10
moisturisingness: very good: 10/10

Total: 33/40

LaCerbiatta · 22/11/2007 11:32

Neutrogena body lotion

Packaging: Nice bottle with pump, but lots left in the bottle after pump stops pumping - 7/10
Scent: Unoffensive, unoticeable cream scent: 6/10
rub in-ability: Very good - 10/10
Moiusturisingness: Not good at all for a moisturiser aimed at 'very dry skin' - 3/10

Total: 26/40

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/11/2007 11:36

Canter Mane Tail and Coat conditioner

Packaging 8/10 Comes in a lovely 5 litre plastic bottle
Scent 9/10 Smells like Liquorice
Rubinability 7/10 gets up a good lather
Moisturisingness 10/10 Leaves me all soft and fluffy

TigerFeet · 22/11/2007 11:39

Agree with nangnangnang, moisturisingness should count for a far bigger percentage of the total mark surely?

Cetraben

Packaging-2/10 is like something from a chemist not an indulgence (which is exactly what it is ) but I couldn't give a rubbery fuck as the packaging means nowt to me. Can't use the pump to get the last bits out of the bottle.
Scent - 5/10 inoffensive, not perfumed which I prefer
Rubinability-7/10 can be greasy for a while but absorbs eventually
Moisturisingness - 9/10 sorts my scaly legs out a treat and I have found nothing else that will.
