I was thinking about these and how many I have used over the years. These are the ones I remember, starting from about age 11:-

My favourites were Vent Vert and Escada - sadly both unavailable now - unless anyone knows better?

The perfumes that I've hands down had the most comments on is New Look's Dusk and Pure Dusk - recently discontinued - gutted.

Yes Giorgio Beverly Hills. The 80's bottled. Well, that and Poison.

Goya Entice. The solid perfume in a pink twisty tube. Sadly discontinued years ago. Just beautiful - never come across anything remotely similar.

Rive Gauche will always remind me of my mum! She always wore it from when we were all little till she died when I was 30.

Tommy Hilfiger I remember not really liking, but buying anyway, because everyone else loved it

My mum has this in the 80s!

I loved Giorgio Beverly Hills at the time and always dreamed of having my bedroom decorated in the same yellow and white stripes. 35 years later, I finally fulfilled my stripey dream!

I’ve worn Obsession every day since my eldest was born in 1982, with the odd exception being Nina Ricci “ l’air du temps” , Estée Lauder “ white Linen” and more recently victor and Rolf “ flower bomb”
Nothing lasts on me like obsession though. When I put a scarf on that I haven’t wore for a while it still has the perfume scent on it.

My grandma always wore Blue Grass, I have her pearls and the box smells of it and the powder she put on her face. The string is broken, but every now and then I let myself smell the inside of the box, it feels like a hug.

@Evenstar, I love the smell of Blue Grass, but when I put it on myself it smelled horrid. What a lovely memory to have of your grandma. I shall have to ask my adult sons and little grandchildren if they recognise my perfume!

Just remembered another 1960’s 70’s perfume that I used to like testing as a Boots Saturday girl, Revlon Intimate is a knobbly sort of glass bottle

My all time favourite was Odyssey from Avon. Wish they'd bring it back.
I wore Ysatis, Anais Anais and pinched my mum's Chanel number 5. I tried some of that recently hoping for a memory of my mum. I nearly choked instead - so strong.

@LadyEloise you can still buy Coty Wild Musk but it's a bit weak. I found some on Amazon recently.

@Amdone123 I absolutely adored Odyssey. It was such a beautiful floral musk.

If anyone misses Tendre Poison, I've heard that Gres Cabotine smells similar, but I haven't tried Tendre Poison myself.

My first post uni job was selling evening wear in House of Fraser. There was a bottle of Oleg Cassini on a plinth in the department so we all smelled of that all day long.

I loved Fendi, in the yellow and black packaging. I still have a sliver left in a bottle for VERY special occasions!
Also loved Tresor and Paris.

In my uni days I wore Dune or Estée Lauder pleasures. Then Clinique happy. Friend used to wear eternity by Calvin Kline which I used to pinch! Also one in a navy bottle called sun moo and stars?? I had a dolce and gabanna one in a very plain bottle with a red top and came in a red velvet box. God it was heavenly.

Also had some of the Versace jeans ones, maybe the red one. The tin was “cool”
