Been googling long jumpers and I love this, but never heard of this brand before - is is genuine or a scammy site? Shein Colour block Jumper

Would not recommend buying from this company at all, the reason it’s so cheap is because they under pay their workers and treat them badly. Although arguably many other stores do this too, shein is one of the most unethical stores out there and the poor quality means you will just have to replace your items after getting little wear out of them

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/04/2021 18:23

It's a gamble but at that price you rarely lose.

Yeah, but the workers that make the clothes probably do Hmm

LibbyL92 · 23/04/2021 18:39

I’ve used them a lot! Always been really pleased

drpet49 · 23/04/2021 18:42

Awful quality, disposable fashion. They test their workers very bad

Fembot123 · 23/04/2021 18:42

Test them for what?

doubleshotespresso · 23/04/2021 18:46

Those who have ordered would you please share how long deliveries took to arrive please?

Mimilamore · 23/04/2021 18:46

I like what I've had so far, good for the price and wash fine

HopingForRainbow2021 · 23/04/2021 18:51

I’ve ordered loads and love it :) delivery is almost always faster than they state too. Just be sure to check reviews as quality is hit and miss. I’ve had some real gems though - especially summery dresses.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 23/04/2021 18:51

@doubleshotespresso mine have averaged about 8-10 days :)

Fairystory · 23/04/2021 18:55

Returns are difficult. They wanted a photo uploaded of the item showing why it did not fit. In this case it was very short trousers. Every time I tried to process this, the system failed and I have heard other people have the same problem. It isn't as cheap as it should be for the low qualiy. I wouldn't use them again.

OhTheTastyNuts · 23/04/2021 19:09

I've ordered twice and returned both items as the quality/sizing was awful. Customer service was good- for the second item they refunded me within 24 hours and told me to keep the item.

I wouldn't order from them again though.

GameSetMatch · 23/04/2021 19:12

I wouldn’t use them on ethical grounds, it wouldn’t sit well with me buying from them.

Mine took about a week, it was earlier than the date it said.

More tat to end up in landfill ...

OverTheRubicon · 24/04/2021 07:36

It's not a scam, but by buying from there you are funding terrible treatment of workers, poor environmental practices and plagiarism and trademark fraud for the creatives and businesses who created most of the original designs.

Their prices are so cheap because they pay workers nothing, use poor quality and mostly plastic-based fabrics, don't have to follow the same rules around environmental protection, and rip off other people's designs. It also doesn't last, so all that pain and damage will go into something that you'll have to throw away in a short while.

H&M is the most ethical of the cheaper retailers, if you want to buy new.

AuntieStella · 24/04/2021 08:00

DD has bought from there, and has been happy with all but one item.

They turned up in a few days.

I don't think she gave any thought at all to their workforce standards.

Bagelsandbrie · 24/04/2021 08:07

Dd aged 18 has got stuff from there and whilst a few things were okay they didn’t look anything like they did on the website and when she returned some bits they never refunded her despite lots of chasing! Awful.

Yep this is the sort of thing my dd had when trying to get a refund. Lots of messages back and forth and her uploading post office receipts and photos etc and then they just stopped replying and no refund!
molojoko · 24/04/2021 08:13

The reason it is cheap is it is made by slaves.

This!

I find it strange when everyone is apparently more aware of the wider issues affecting society & the planet eg BLM, sustainability, countries struggling with covid but not enough vaccines etc it's still acceptable for someone to get paid peanuts, treated like crap in order to produce something you can wear for a few times.

I think anything I bought was tiny. I did get some excellent jumpers for a then 5 year old.

The reviews are clearly mass produced also. Read some of the homeware ones in particular. They are just reams of nonsense.

Exactly. If you’re actually happy supporting stuff like this, go ahead and keep buying from these places.

Twinkie01 · 24/04/2021 11:15

No. Fast fashion is extremely environmentally unfriendly and they use slave labour which people should give more of a toss about than they do.
