What do you wear on your feet in summer?

My feet are nearly always cold, so I only wear sandals in the garden or on short excursions, and only in very hot weather.

What can I wear when it’s not boots weather? I need something to go with jeans and wide-legged trousers.

There's a whole new thing this last year or two around 'mom jeans' that requires thought around footwear!

At the moment I find my barrel leg jeans and chunky trainers work. I'm a bit fat atm for my mom jeans (more fitted) but would also go for trainers with them. Chunky ones most up to date but simple flat converse type ones also fine.

I'm not really a trainers person but these few weeks in between boots and sandals need a solution

TOMS - I live in them as soon as it's not boots weather right through the summer! Have loads of pairs and they're so comfy. Seem to go with everything.

Skechers - extremely light and comfy. Or M&S has a good selection of soft trainers about half the price

I never stopped with the ballet shoes. So easy and comfy.
I have warn them every summer ( and have winter ones too that I wear with matching opaque tights) for over 40 years. The only difference is that I used to wear cheap canvas and now wear more structured mostly leather.

Supegra shoes for me. I can't wear Converse, but that's another option.

They're not! They're back. So, ballet flats for me.

I have a lovely blue pair of Kurt Geiger canvas/denim-y plimsoll type shoes too.

@motheroreily I think they were out and now back in? I am not an avid watcher of these things, but I think that's where we are with them

I also wear ballet flats or trainers. Ballet flats did go away for a while, but I think they're back. Mine are from All Birds. They are machine washable, which makes me very happy

I think my problem this year is that I have months in Vivo Barefoot boots and it’s relieved so much pain that I’ve always just put up with. I’m loathe to return to scrunched up toes and plantar fasciitis.

Off to check some of the recommendations.

Ballet flats, Sea Salt or Mint Velvet sandals or Air and Grace white ankle boots.

Trainers - have just got a new pair of Air Max that I am little in love with.

I am a flip flop person though, as soon as it warms up I wear them everywhere through to about October.

I wear converse, have them in navy and silver. Also have a very comfortable pair of black reebok trainers, it's like wearing clouds on my feet. I also have a pair of white trainers from New Look with a leopard stripe which I love. Will deffo also be wearing ballet flats.

For work in the Summer I have closed toe sling back like sandals, I have them in silver, red, navy and pink.
