January Princessing - 1 month - anyone else in?

Good morning and a Happy New Year!

I have thoroughly enjoyed overindulged myself this Christmas. I am usually very reigned in but I've let go to make the most of the festivities.

However I have put on 7lb (eek!) over the Christmas period, had late nights, hardly any fruit or veg or enough water etc.

Anyone else want to do a little January princessing to get the New Year off to a good start?

Daily basic list for me:

Drink 2 litres of water
Take multivitamins
No junk at all
Early nights.

End of Jan goal
To have lost the 7lb and feel healthier!

Would be good to have some company!

Any update since the date HundredMiles?

Drinking at least 2lt a day, walking a lot (me and my colleagues are now fitting a 15m speedwalk into our lunch break every day), still doing the skimcar routine, have lost 1.5lb so far.

Congratulations @FuckingHateRats on your weight loss. Nice work!

I fell off the princess/weight loss wagon today when I had a doughnut and ice cream for lunch. Blush In my defence, Crosstown were giving them away for free (as a vegan promotion with Time Out) so it would have been rude to say no. Wink. I have been to the gym twice today though and even with the doughnut and ice cream, I've managed to scrape in just under my 1400/day calorie limit. I will admit that I am bloody hungry right now though and already looking forward to my breakfast tomorrow!!

I'm not sure what's happening with my date. It seemed to go well but I don't know what happens next. He's quite laidback, reserved and serious (he's definitely not a jump in and see where this goes kind of guy) whereas I am impatient and as far from laidback as you can be. We are very opposite. Maybe that's the attraction. I talk to everyone, he talks to no-one (apart from me). I think I need to bide my time really and wait for him to suggest something. Although this is probably famous last words as I'll either run out of patience and ask him to go out (and then it'll be over if he says no), or get fed up waiting for him and decide I'm no longer interested. I have the patience of your average toddler. Blush I saw him last night as he waited for me after our gym class so we could leave together and then we stood outside having a chat in the dark and cold - again! I'll guess we'll see if anything happens this weekend if our paths cross for long enough to have a proper conversation. I really like him but I'm not sure if I'm capable of going at his slow speed. He's very sensible whereas I quite like to rush in (and fuck things up lol). I guess it's a good lesson in patience for me and trying to work out if he's worth the wait. If nothing else, hopefully I will make a new friend from this but at the moment I'd quite like to be more than his friend. Wink

Just updating. I saw my gym crush again tonight and we agreed to go on a second date next weekend (after the gym of course). So this time I will learn from my previous mistake (of not making much effort) and I will go full on princess mode!! Already planning my outfit. Smile The poor man won't know what's hit him.

I've lost almost a stone in weight now and I feel so much better for it. My stomach looks flatter, hurray! Still drinking lots of water and obessively exercising but I feel pretty good. Sleeping well is an ongoing problem but I think that's peri-menopause so not really within my control. Very frustrating though!

I hope everyone is doing okay??? January is a long hard slog but we're getting there. Smile

Well done HundredMiles!! On the weight loss, the date, the general positivity. You have smashed this January.

I'm now 2.5lb down. Hair being done next week which I am looking forward to. Ordered some faux leather black trousers which I am hoping are lovely and make me look stylish. Water intake still high. Walking every day at work. Baby steps :)
