Who has ordered one?
It just went on general release today. Not bad at £80 for non-subscribers, and worth over £370. Lots of different products. Quite makeup heavy but I’d use most of it.

Anyone else?

@Writersblock2 I thought of you when opening the box! Got the gold Nails Inc. polish today as you can guess. The items must have been switched in the packing for you.

The nail varnish is gorgeous. Glad to hear you got the blusher @Writersblock2

Writersblock2 · 24/12/2019 09:30

I’m glad you all got the varnish! It’s stunning! I’ve waited to use it but now I feel we have officially received it so I can go ahead! Hmm

I love the nail varnish and I'm glad you got your blusher @writersblock2
Im quite excited for tomorrow. It feels quite heavy.

On the main the calendar was nice. Would have liked a nice mascara though!

whyamidoingthis · 24/12/2019 12:04

I would definitely have preferred a mascara to the eyeliner. Agree, overall it was a good calendar. A few meh items that were cheap fillers (the blusher for example) but nothing too bad other than the toothpaste. That was a bit wtf.

Butterymuffin · 24/12/2019 13:13

The 'exclusive' sponge was my low point. But there have been some nice items too. The Dr. Dennis Gross serum was very welcome. I am opening Birchbox as my Jadvent calendar though and will compare for next year when choosing calendars then. Glossybox has been good but I wouldn't say I would definitely go for it next year over any alternatives.

The 'exclusive' sponge was my low point.

That and the rather floppy eye brush but dd took both of them. She refused the toothpaste.

I also had the debenham's one which was much cheaper and, I think, overall better. Dd has the Holland and Barrett one which I would rate very highly.

I can't see me going for it next year either.

CountryCob · 24/12/2019 22:07

I was wondering what you got @Writersblock2, @whyamidoingthis I also had Debenhams and find it hard to remember exactly what came from which calendar but although the glossybox is more beautiful Debenhams especially at £45 competed well. I am also keen on Holland and Barrett next year which surprises me as I don’t think of that shop as very glamorous which is something I look for in an advent calendar to offset some of the mud and dark of winter. Was lovely sharing the calendar ladies and I hope you have a great Christmas o
