What are you all buying/wearing for Autumn/Winter

Up here in rainy Scotland, it is cool and wet and the schools go back this week and next, so I am feeling winter is nigh. I am also in the process of losing weight 1 stone down and 1.5-2 stone to go and for the first time in ages I feel ready to take an interest in what to wear rather than what just fits. So come you girls lots of links to inspire me.

Maybe I have freakishly short calves?! I like 'em

noddyholder · 12/08/2007 19:43

Midi skirts look very flattering

FrayedKnot · 12/08/2007 19:44

I bought this last weekend.

I thought it looked fabby and a bit disco queen retro with black leggings and silver shoes .

Dp couldn't stop laughing at me .

I looked great though, apart from my nipples poking at the fabric and dp asking if I couldn't batten them down in some way!!!

I think purple will be very in.

My black Mary Jane Crocs. With socks.

Gobbledigook · 12/08/2007 20:45

I've just got my Sept Eve and Red - I'm thinking I may go for the high heeled 'mary jane' shoes with tights and short skirt/dress look.

May also have a go at jeans tucked in boots look - I avoided that one last year.

Have also seen layering again - so a fitted polo neck with a swishy, wide body and arm jumper with half length sleeves (if that makes sense). That will work well for me cos I'm always freezing. Will have some nice long necklaces/beads to go over the top.

I'm also after a really warm North Face coat. Dh tried to get me to buy one last year but I didn't - so annoyed now.

Ooh, tis my birthday soon - lots of lovely lolly!!

nomdeplume · 12/08/2007 20:46

ankle boots are full stop for me (not a cankle in sight)
