Beauty Advent Calendars 2019

It’s almost that time again! Anyone have their eye on anything?

I’m waiting on the M&S one as I loved it so much last year (no sign of it so far but I suspect it will be similar to 2018 for release date, so around start of November). I also like the look of the Look Fantastic and Nuxe but three may be pushing it.

If money was no object I’d be on the Jo Malone and Lush calendars.

So has mine Sammi38! It will be here tomorrow which is way sooner than I was expecting.

It's the first time I have had the liberty one, (missed out last yr) just hoping it is worth the hype!

Hmm.. mine hasn't been despatched? Are you guys opening daily from 1st December or just having it all straight away?

Does anyone know if the ASOS men's calendar has been released? I'm trying to find a reasonably priced one for DH and someone recommended it but I can't seem to find it! Or any other ones? The Next one is £65 which is slightly more than I wanted to spend!

youngestisapsycho - NO! I will be putting it away in the spare room until the first of December (along with my LookFantastic one that DH has treated me to) and opening on each day.

I don't see the point of opening it all at once. Kind of defeats the object of an Advent Calendar otherwise imo :)

I was just doing a bit of internet research inspired by another thread and have just seen this advent calendar, no idea if it's already been mentioned on the thread, but is £50 and looks lovely. I was holding out against having a beauty calendar this year but £50 is affordable compared with the Elemis one I had last year

Well, having talked myself out of getting the Liberty calendar (too ‘Samey’ + I have Fortnum and Mason on order) I’ve just been and caved and bought the Other Liberty Advent Calendar. Same price as the beauty one but with an additional £100 of value. Most of the stuff seems pretty unisex and mostly stuff that I’ve not tried before. There’s also a diptyque candle in a different fragrance to the one or two that keep popping up in the beauty advents /gifts with purchase. Very excited to have something ‘Liberty’ to open this December 😊

Just curious but does anyone have any inside info as to how many advent calendars Liberty actually produce and sell each year?

I will have to live vicariously through the thread on Liberty. Would have loved to have that Christmassy feeling opening Liberty but my heart was set on Cult Beauty.😂 Just bought the Arran one...going to buy M&S one so along with LiB, Cult Beauty and Holland and Barratt I will have five!!!

I'm not sure Lee. It Fortnum had a limited amount at 1000 and said so, so I would imagine Liberty has probably ten times that at least.

Thanks for that fading. I am sure that I read somewhere (or maybe I have dreamt it?) that Liberty were producing approx 45% more this year to meet demand, but it just wondered how many they usually sell.

It's still available so either they have got lots more stock or people are just not biting.

What I don't understand is the Cfers on ebay asking £600 for them already when they are still available on the website.

I wonder if folk really do pay that for them or the sellers are just chancing their luck?

Liberty have produced 50% more calendars this year....

I've had M&S ones over recent years and DD has had Body Shop.
We went to the McArthur Glenn outlet the other day and I ended up with Molton Brown (last year's) (~£60 package deal that also included a full sized hand cream and a reed diffuser). DD has a make-up one from the Loreal Outlet that was about £10.
I am still using up last year's M&S bounty... Despite the splurge on the Molton Brown DD is betting I will cave and get the M&S one as well .
Liked the look of the White Company linked upthread too but too spendy for me!

Lol I'm getting the M&S one mainly for the thread...I always love reading people's opinions each day and joining it. It's a real highlight of the season for me. My Arran one arrived today and smells so gorgeous. Thinking I might open it through November.

My Liberty one arrived yesterday and I am very impressed by the box! My Look Fantastic arrives tomorrow and will go straight into the spare room with the other awaiting Dec 1st. Excited!

Lee are you joining the Liberty thread when it gets going? I'm going to read it slavishly even though I don't have a Liberty calendar.😂😂 I'm going to be in Holland and Barrett, LF, LiB and Cult Beauty if it exists. The threads are almost more exciting than the calendars!! 😂

Writer no discounts yet I think...I'm waiting to see what happens with Charlotte Tilbury on Black Friday as I thought last year's twelve days looked amazing and much better than this year.

Fading yes I will! Until I spotted this thread I had no idea that the individual threads were actually a thing. I am always late to any party!

I also didn't know that you can get reduced ones (I am wishing I didn't know to be honest) so I will be keeping a lookout for those too!

DH got me the Molton Brown one last year and I was planning on reusing the box to make him a calendar in return this year however I've seen that Next are doing a men's grooming calendar.

It's currently sitting in my basket waiting for me to press pay! Resisted it so far.....................

The Rituals one also looks nice. So many tempting calendars!
