@soyo, loving both Kensingtons on you :)

justilou1 · 13/07/2019 04:10

KEEEEEEEP!!!

justilou1 · 13/07/2019 04:12

Oh! Thanks for the birthday messages everyone! And the Orange came out of my t-shirt, so all is well in the world! (I didn’t come out in hives, I was just stained - or oxidised, which rather defeats the purpose...)

whiskyremorse · 13/07/2019 08:39

@Ella love the starry wide leg trousers, they're really popular on the website eh

SoyYo · 13/07/2019 10:38

Thanks all! I’m mulling over the starry Kensington: heart says keep head says return. Hmm

Just came by to recommend this Fantasie bikini which is on sale in the Belle Lingerie site, you’ll find plenty of bra sizes left and with these bottoms it’s reallt great. 34G perfect for me and the orange colour is very summery:
www.bravissimo.com/products/sidari-bikini-top-orange-print-fs121orp/?page=2&limit=4&sortBy=all

The bravissimo site just to show what it looks like not sure they have any nice bottoms left like this. So check out Belle Lingerie too

Just in case anyone is after a secure and flattering bikini for the summer 👍

Other than that Have a Great Weekend!

Dinkydoos · 13/07/2019 12:07

@SoyYo thanks for the diligent bikini search!
I looked this week and saw that one but couldn’t quite decide whether to order or not
I have just done so! Thanks for the enabling Grin

SoyYo · 13/07/2019 12:27

Welcome dinky it’s honestly surprisingly flattering 😀 hope you like as much as me

More enabling for curly girls now (and btw soups nothing wrong with straightening DD curls for special occasion just stay away from the silicones!)

Morning all.. bleary eyed me this morning. Had a few too many gins last night at a party. I really hate feeling like this... don't often drink that much these days and I'm so annoyed with myself.
Local festival on today so just been pottering round the town centre, popped into a lovely local boutique and have bought myself a pair of black denim dungarees. Bit of an impulse buy as I'm not sure they're my thing but I'll try them on later and see what you think. Will need a tighter fitting top to wear underneath though and not sure I have such a thing.

Ellapaella · 13/07/2019 13:35

Dunga’s:

What do you think? My DH is not a fan but I quite like them. Will need a couple of fitted t shirts to wear underneath, this is the only top I have that’s not too loose.

justilou1 · 13/07/2019 14:01

Love the dungas, @Ella! Would be adorable with stripes!

Ellapaella · 13/07/2019 14:04

Thanks @justilou1 - a close fitting stripey or animal print v neck T-shirt is exactly what I'm thinking. Just googling for last half and hour and can't find one.

ilovecherries · 13/07/2019 16:47

You look great, Ella. I did but black dungas in the dregs of the fat face winter sale but it was my first outing by myself after my surgery and I think I must have been under the influence of drugs, as I haven’t ever worn them.

I’m also annoyed atHush today - for the third time in as many weeks they’ve sent me the wrong order. Wrong size this time, last week it was a missing item, week before it was just the wrong thing altogether. Checked my orders and it’s not me, it IS them. It’s so annoying that you have to sit out the money waiting for them to process a return, when it’s their fault, never mind all the hassle of returning it. They never used to be like this.

OP posts:
justilou1 · 13/07/2019 16:47

Why is it that you can’t find anything when you want something specific, @Ellapaella? Then when you give up, and get something else instead.... WHAMMO! They’re everywhere. Infuriating!!!

Ellapaella · 13/07/2019 17:14

Exactly Lou! I have a very clear picture in my mind of what I want and it doesn't exist! I do this with coats and shoes all the time.. wish I could design my own!
I bought the dungarees with a gift voucher and you can't return items unless they are faulty so I'll be keeping them. I'm going to be brave and wear them tomorrow - off to a music festival (just a local one nothing fancy).

Ellapaella · 13/07/2019 17:15

That's annoying cherries.

God I have bad beer fear today. Anyone else get that? Partly the reason why I don't like drinking much anymore.. I feel all kind of adrenalised and like I'm having palpitations but I'm not if that makes sense? Kind of anxious feeling.

ilovecherries · 13/07/2019 18:17

That was one of my main drivers for continuing to not drink any more, ella. I didn’t realise what they were, just never made a connection, although beer fear describes it perfectly 😂. When I stopped drinking for a month they just disappeared., I had a couple of ‘test’ drinks, and back it came, so I decided I’d just stay stopped. That’s heading for three years ago. I hated them, and didn’t need to be anywhere near drunk to experience them - one large glass of wine, and off I’d go.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 13/07/2019 18:19

Sometimes I do think ‘oh, a glass of wine would be lovely’, then I remember that panicky, thudding feeling, and it’s perfect aversion therapy. I’m all serene and zen-like nowadays. Well, some of the time, at least!

SoyYo · 13/07/2019 18:24

Hello just back from a nice afternoon in friends garden catching up and chewing the fat. She’s my oldest U.K. friend (since 1980!) and it’s her birthday tomorrow and she and DH are off to Germany tomorrow to race their Norton bikes and anyway lovely to see my dear chums (we’re also spending the weekend together later in July at the rock festival near Cambridge that we do most summers together)

So...Ella the black dungarees are super cute on you! Sorry you’re feeling a bit sick today, stay off the booze if you can tonight and if you can’t have a spritzer (I’m having one right now: 1/4 glass of dry white topped up with sparkly water. Very refreshing). Boden seem to do thousands of stripy t shirts this season (always) have you had a look? I know it’s the bleeding obvious choice but just in case...

cherries very annoying! I’m not sure what to say other than write to their CS to complain? Did you end up keeping anything after all that hassle?

ilovecherries · 13/07/2019 18:24

Back again to say you really do look fabulous in your dungas. I’m home for the weekend to take dog back to vet on Monday, but you’ve inspired me to give mine another go. I think you are right about them needing something close fitting underneath.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 13/07/2019 18:27

I’m not a big drinker either tbh and can’t actually remember last time I was even tipsy (boring I know) but I do enjoy a glass of wine or a G&T as a surndowner...I do hope you feel back to your old self quickly dear Ella. Take care x

ilovecherries · 13/07/2019 18:29

And - I’m wearing a bralette today!!!!😱😳. I never thought I’d see that day. I stupidly left all my compression bras in England, and the one I was wearing wasn’t dry this morning so dd gave me a bralette to wear for a few hours. It was so comfy I never got round to changing again. I keep whipping my tee shirt up to look at it.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 13/07/2019 18:31

Amazing cherries! I like the idea of wearing a flimsy bralette (dream on!) Smile

whiskyremorse · 13/07/2019 18:41

Having a giggle at Cherries checking out her boobs in the bralet lol
Love @ella dungarees.
I've had some uniqlo sale dresses delivered but I've been (quite literally) doing a rooftop protest all day hacking down our neighbour's triffid which has grown almost as tall as our house and hanging all over our first floor roof extension blocking the gutters etc.
I am beyond tired after this and am drinking gin in the bath waiting for a takeaway lol

whiskyremorse · 13/07/2019 18:43

Also thank you @Soy for the Boucleme code. I've tried my samples last night and had really good second day curls which is not like me. Although they are now full of twigs and leaves after my rooftop gardening adventure lol
