dontcallmelen · 23/07/2019 13:06

Welcome back Laska boo hiss though about work, so irritating hope you are happy with the haul.
never can’t keep up with all your lovely new toast acquisitions😂 sound great though.
Gin festival sounds amazing, as is the hat.
Soy & never we are pippa bag triplets, I have the pippa in sort of cream crocodile that dd bought me ages ago, Yy it’s heavy though so I only use it when it’s something more formal is needed.
Nink love the earrings & hats, I have that oasis jacket tis fab & have found it really useful.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes.
Some of the mango sale bits, linen T-shirts got in a few colours.
Tailored chino shorts in navy & beige.
Linen tops got pattern & plain.

A few more bits, linen blend navy trousers which actually fit so a major bonus & a yellow dress as I have a really lovely yellow/pink/blue/mint swirly pattern sort of sixties shape jacket, that I have never worn & think it will look good with dress.
Cherries another boo hiss for your work experience, I know how you feel exactly the same scenario for me, took me a long time to get over it as well.

Well, loving all your new mango haul @dontcallmelen
Especially love the lemon dress - its a gorgeous colour and will suit your lovely figure. I see you got some cream shorts. They are gorgeous!
Well, as for me. Was browing the Toast website and a dress very similar to the pinwheel dress came on for £50. Its nowhere near as nice as its rather more plain but thought I might order it in the 10 to see if that will scratch the itch of the dress. I am only intending to keep one as I don't wear dresses that much. Also while on the diamond print one came on in black and white in a 10 and so I ordered that too. As I say, will only keep one dress so we will see. @Laska2Meryls they had it in a 14 incase you are interested.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 15:43

So the dresses I have ordered to choose from are:
The paisley dress in green
The black and white dress [diamond print]
The stripe dress that's like the pinwheel dress.
They should come on Thursday so we will see. Then, everything apart from 1 dress is going back.

SoyYo · 23/07/2019 15:46

Quick check in and I’ll join the well-being thread soon. Thanks for setting it up never
Like your buys melen 😍 and the Oasis denim jacket is fab nink

gin what a happy hat 🌸🌼🌻🌺 sounds like a totally great time was had by all (despite the inevitable hangovers) and like what you wore too, inspires me for this weekend rock festival 😎 if this heat holds it’ll be very balmy nights and a hat will be added too (the hat nink posted is lovely, I have a similar one in a straw shade).

My Gudrun silk blouse arrived but sadly it’s going back. It’s quite fitted and the S was just a tiny bit snug across my boobs. Meh. No other sizes left so I’ll be richer and I did order some final Gudrun bargains last weekend so more yet to come.
I also picked up more bargainous Fantasie bikinis as my month in Spain will require 3 or 4 (specially when they’re only £20 a piece) and I think since luggage capacity on the bike is super limited it’ll be bikinis, a few T’s and shorts, the wafty silk sea coloured culottes/top, work laptop and not a lot else...

Laska2Meryls · 23/07/2019 15:51

Nope i am done.. even though they now seems to have that triangle dress back in now !! Grrr Angry
. I have bought enough...

Laska2Meryls · 23/07/2019 15:52

len good buys esp the yellow dress Smile

SoyYo · 23/07/2019 15:53

Ooh more Toast dresses never!
laska sorry to read work is pants Sad oh well just start planning your retirement and travel routes, etc.
Still it must be a bit arghh to have to go through the motions of turning up and nothing substantial to do. Chin up, things may pick up and worst case you’re out before year end.

Now remember last summers sale printed trousers? I’m wearing today while homeworking. They shrunk in length after a couple of washes 🤨 and I don’t think I’ve lost that much but they feel ginormous now. Only fit for wearing round the house so my “shopping my wardrobe” today is not my most stylish day...Grin

Hushistas keep on keeping on!
neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 15:57

I think you look very stylish @soyo !!! Love the pink and its just perfect with the trousers.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 15:57

You could get them taken in. I don't think it would be that hard if you feel you need to.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 15:58

Is the triangle dress the diamond dress @Laska2Meryls?

SoyYo · 23/07/2019 16:00

Lol thanks never I posted to give you a Grin but yes I’m colour coordinated at least!

Laska2Meryls · 23/07/2019 16:02

No its this one

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 16:03

I actually love the diamond print dress. If I keep the stripe dress I could have the diamond one and it would be 2 for the price of one!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 16:04

That is lovely too!

NotAnActualSheep · 23/07/2019 16:08

That yellow dress is so cute len - think it will look great with a 60s jacket. Also love the tees and navy trousers. (I'm having a bit of a linen thing this summer...) Good haul!

Love hearing about everyone else buys too. ella's sunglasses are lovely - I have blue-framed (prescription) sunglasses at the moment and they are surprisingly versatile... but the shape of yours is fab.

nink I agree that denim jacket is gorgeous! Also love the hat - such a pretty colour. Though frankly, not as impressive as gin's carnival/ waitrose hat which is a thing of beauty... (glad you had a good/ pissed time at the festival Grin even if the weather was a bit pants) Also, gin - hope your sale parcel survived its lobbing over the fence...I hate it when that happens. Although our current hermes chap is actually quite good, he does have a habit of leaving even tiny parcels in our bin - which is very difficult to get things out of without tipping it onto its side and crawling into Envy

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 16:12

@not, I am losing track. Right, I need to sort out what is to keep and what is to go back!

NotAnActualSheep · 23/07/2019 16:17

Aaaargh -missed loads of posts! soy - pity that gudrun silk blouse didn't work. It was such a lovely print. And I think todays outfit looks great on you - the pinks go really well together! Though, yy, the trousers do look rather big - must feel encouraging to see your weight loss so much!

never - yes, that striped dress does look very similar in style, but i still think I prefer the pinwheel print. Good spot though and definitely worth a punt for the price. I like the diamond and triangle dresses too (and any other geometric shapes they choose today!!) but I think the sleeves on the others make them a bit more special (and also better going into autumn without having to faff with cardigans/ jackets)

NotAnActualSheep · 23/07/2019 16:26

Thanks goodness...we've been having our front drive pressure cleaned and sanded/ sealed (in a vain attempt to control the weeds) and the chaps have finally buggered off for the day. My goodness - it has been LOUD (the neighbours must hate us). And the mess Shock ...I went out to offer a cuppa earlier and they were both absolutely coated head to toe in spatters of mud (as was our front door Angry ). Looks fab now though - even before its been sealed. And they have cleaned the front door...

SoyYo · 23/07/2019 16:45

DH is still on his gloss white everything that he can painting mission now he’s a man of Leisure...our neighbours across the road who are just a couple in their forties no kids and live in a stonking huge double fronted Georgian/early Victorian house are having a huge extensión put in (what are they gonna do with all that space? Grin) and I’ve heard workmen with their diggers and portaloos (and uniform black polo tops...their builders are on a different league from our mere mortals brickies) that I fully sympathise not.
DH is high maintenance decorator boy though. He needs copious cups of tea AND diet cola!
Glad your drive is sparkly and shiny and as soon as I finish today’s work I’ll pop to the other thread with the lentil recipe.

SoyYo · 23/07/2019 16:55

And btw I love the Toast prints, specially the yellow/ink dress that laska got and the big squares that never ordered but I’m not 🙈🙈🙈🙈 at that website! It’s too tempting and I can easily see myself becoming hooked on Toast too. But I think the dress style wouldn’t suit my shape as I’m too short and top heavy to carry off the chic orphan look? Hmm

Ellapaella · 23/07/2019 16:57

Looking good @SoyYo
@dontcallmelen love your buys, yellow dress particularly is lovely.
@Ninkaninus I can't find the link to the denim jacket, not sure why - I've looked and looked but can't see it. Love a denim jacket though - they go with everything but especially with summer dresses and skirts.

@neveradullmoment99 and @Huffthepuff and @NotAnActualSheep I think Toast May be giving Hush a run for its money at the moment? Now I'm getting the bug and have spied lots of lovely Toast knitwear and am getting tempted by the jeans...
have also seen a nice pair of tapered leg Cos jeans but I have enough jeans, I am Queen if jeans!!

Currently sitting in boiling garden filling up the new 8ft pool that I treated the kids to today. They have inflatables to go in and are super excited. So so hot today.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2019 16:58

Oh @NotAnActualSheep my mum had the front pressure cleaned and not a weed inside.
Mumsnet keeps deleting my posts now too when I hit the next line button. Very annoying. Its happened 3 times.
Yes, the pinwheel print is lovely but its worth it just to see. I will post pictures when I get a moment.
