I’m working on my course today and having the wobbles about it. I’m not sure quite what came over me when I booked. Convinced that everyone on it will be younger/slimmer/a LOT more stylish and will look at me with a 🙄 look.

😭😭😭 I’ve had my eyes on those earrings from Toast for ages (the green ones, though). It’s so much worse when one of you links to something that I want/have wanted!!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/07/2019 11:07

@cherries, i think your course sounds fab and you are equally stylish as anyone! Get those negative thoughts out of your head! The green ones are beautiful but dearer!

twosoups1972 · 18/07/2019 11:31

@NotAnActualSheep starry culottes look great! Mine have arrived, will try them on later. And will post a pic of Mango dress.

@Ninkaninus how are you today?

Ninkaninus · 18/07/2019 11:33

Much better thank you, soups. It helped a lot to have all your kind words to fall back on.

NotAnActualSheep · 18/07/2019 11:54

Thanks never and soups! They do feel very nice on... and I've kept them on, and teamed with a crescent moon necklace and long sleeved tee with a rainbow on it (too cold for no sleeves) so I'm a walking celestial body, basically.

Looking forward to seeing the culottes and dress soups!

Oh, cherries - you will rock it! Yy, you have just as much right to be there, and you have your own life experience which no-one else in the room will have! You have chosen to do the course because it's something you love for the next "stage" of your life... and who cares if others are younger or slimmer.. (and I would lay bets on the fact they won't all be size 6 20-somethings). They will be doing the course for their own reasons and if they judge anyone else for doing the same thing as them, they are, frankly, rude twonks, regardless of how stylishly they are dressed.

Gorgeous earrings never. Times like this my wallet is glad I don't have pierced ears and am too much of a wimp to get them done... Glad you have at least one more day of sunshine ☀️☀️☀️.

So glad you're feeling a bit better nink. Have some more Flowers in case yesterday's have gone a bit wilty.

justilou1 · 18/07/2019 12:40

Hi @Ninkaninus... sending a big hug from afar! I’ve been down in the dumps too. (Mean girls in real life. You’d think we left all that behind with high school..... Nope. Still happens at 47! Thank goodness I’m doing my course, or I don’t know what I’d do.)
Meanwhile, @ilovecherries, I thought that when I started my course, and they’re lovely!!! I hope you have as much luck with your groups as I have had! If not, I am sure you will be the cream that rises to the top above it all.
@not - your insights about males and females and the moon were pretty interesting! I just figured that we’re 85% water and it’s capable of shifting oceans, so of course it makes us a bit restless. (And maybe I’m a mermaid!!!)

Ellapaella · 18/07/2019 12:43

Love the culottes with the wedges Not - exactly the kind of shoes I have in mind for wearing with mine. Will have to wait for payday now though as my last Hush haul was £85 that I wasn't anticipating on spending.

Never love the earrings and the trousers are cute. I love Cornwall too - and Devon and can't wait for our trip there in 3 weeks. July and September are typically the best time to go as weather tends to be nice and dry, August can always be a bit hot and miss so fingers crossed it stays good for me.

Ellapaella · 18/07/2019 12:45

I'm wearing my dungarees today - chickened out of wearing them on the weekend but am giving them an outing. Got a red T-shirt to wear with them that I think works well. Two Mums at nursery pick up made positive comments on them - DH asked me if I was off to join a commune 🤬

SoyYo · 18/07/2019 12:47

I like the starry culottes on you not good call on keeping and like the idea of being a walking celestial body even more Grin

Don’t you dare feel insecure cherries! You have the wisdom no skinny youngster could ever match, and your reasons for doing it are so great. You will wow them of that I am sure 💪

never the culottes print and earrings are great too! Glad your Cornwall break has been super.

I got my Vie en Rose T and black denim mini and I like and keeping even if my wrinkly knees are not up to close scrutiny my legs are still good and the mini is only just above the knee on me so not indecent and will be useful in the autumn with tights too.

Ellapaella · 18/07/2019 12:50

Yes cherries - you are super stylish, totally worthy of being there. And you've been through the whole process yourself so understand it all really well. Really look forward to hearing about your course because it's something I'd really like to do myself in the future.

SoyYo · 18/07/2019 12:56

I posted before seeing you in the black dungarees Ella and you look fabulous and not at all like a commune member Wink

justilou1 · 18/07/2019 13:08

@Ellapaella, you look adorable! If anything, you look gamine, not bloody hippie! The red T looks great with them! I tried mine on the other day.... a bit tight across the boobs. Too much cheese over winter, methinks!

Ellapaella · 18/07/2019 13:19

Winter is all about cheese for me Lou 😁

twosoups1972 · 18/07/2019 13:38

@ilovecherries just to echo what everyone else is saying - you always look great and you are a lovely person too Smile

@Ellapaella great dungas, they look fab on you. Really suit you. Boo to dh’s comment!

Hush starry culottes are great - I won’t post a picture, you’ve probably seen enough of them (!) but they look and feel lovely.

Here is the Mango dress, I like it but not 100% sure. It’s a bit of a faff to get on - buttons on either side and my boob is in the way to see what I’m doing Grin But for a wrap dress the fit is pretty good, they’ve put a thoughtful popper near the top.

Ellapaella · 18/07/2019 13:53

I really like it @twosoups1972

NotAnActualSheep · 18/07/2019 13:56

ella you look great! Yes, that red top goes really well. Ignore your DH... mine is skating on pretty thin ice at the moment with clothing comments too Grin. I was wearing a linen jumpsuit on holiday, and it got to mid morning before him asking "that garment you are wearing... What is it called?... It looks, um - comfortable. Looks like one of DSs things we sent him to nursery in" (says the man walking round in shorts with socks and single pair of shoes...). Also, was wearing my hush "happy" tee earlier in the week, and got "I assume you are wearing that ironically". Humph.

soy Glad the last minute sale buy was a success! The skirt will be really useful into autumn too I reckon, as you say with tights/boots.

Yay for cheese in winter (and spring, summer and autumn).

Hermes man allegedly on his way with JL toast stuff... more culottes and a pretty blouse that I thought was worth a punt on. Also 6 dining chairs Shock but I think/hope those are coming separately... don't really want them handled by hermes.

NotAnActualSheep · 18/07/2019 13:58

Ooooh soups - yes, that's lovely. The colours really suit you!

NotAnActualSheep · 18/07/2019 14:53

Feck it. How many culottes do I actually need? These feel really elegant, and like I have an actual waist, though also a bit like I'm channelling my inner boy scout. The shirt is pretty too, and was only £25 so think I'll keep that.

Ninkaninus · 18/07/2019 14:59

sheep your DH sounds funny 😆 (possibly not so funny when you have to live with him...)!

LOVE the culottes, and the top is nice too. It makes a great outfit. 👍

Ella love the dungaree outfit.

💐 to everyone and thanks again for checking on me.

Ninkaninus · 18/07/2019 15:00

soups I also really like your dress! I think it’s worth the faff. 🙂

MOB247 · 18/07/2019 15:15

Ok

SoyYo · 18/07/2019 15:43

Yes to the wrap dress soups it is super flattering on you! And such a nice colour, will also be useful in the autumn with tights on.

As for not DH comments Grin men eh 😂 my DH loved the mini skirt and t shirt on me he is a sweetie but he’ll probably tell you he’s scared of his dragon DW...anything for a quiet life eh

nink I’m so glad you’re brighter today. Hang in there! 🙌

justi just don’t mention cheese to me...can’t shift that last pesky 1.5kg I want to before my hols...it’s getting hard now as I’m at target weight but I know a month in Spain will require an iron Will and want to be a bit below to allow for the occasional feast.

SoyYo · 18/07/2019 15:46

not oh the Toast culottes! YESS (you’re enabling Huff you know this right? Wink)
They are made for your shape, you’ve got a tiny waist too jealous
Deffo Keep.
